I imported a copy of IA/VT Colorful on Play-Asia recently and got a bill for customs fees of €21, which is rather annoying . So my question for you guys is, does anybody know any sites or even dealers on ebay that ship their packages in such a way that i can avoid those ridiculous fees.

you can avoid customs fees if you illegally smuggle the game in. That's about it. I wouldn't recommend doing that.

I bought games on amazon that came without duties and customs, they were bought and shipped from Japan. I think it just has to do with how the seller ships them? I'm not too sure but I definitely wasn't charged anything extra.

Well i'm actually looking for places that accept paypal, so Amazon is kind of a no go, thanks for the advice though.

It might depend on your country. I used different types of shipping from Play-Asia, amazon, eBay, and CDJapan. Never had any additional customs fees.

CDJapan is the best for me. EMS takes exactly one week and it's here. Registered airmail takes 6 days usually because it skips customs. SAL takes 1-2 weeks. Never been any additional charges.

So would it be better to take the more expensive shipping method over economy?
And i'm from the Netherlands btw.

Sometimes it's the more expensive shipping that gets the additional fees and delays. I used Play-Asia's FedEx once, they charged me $40 when it got here. Did you use economy?

Maybe try CDJapan's registered airmail or regular airmail.

Oh yeah, I'm in Canada btw. You really wouldn't know until you try other sites because we're not in the same country.

I used economy shipping. According to a number of people on some dutch forums it seems to be hit and miss, sometimes customs fucks you over sometimes they don't I think i'll use ebay next time, i found a seller from japan who has reasonable prices and does free shipping.
