My faith in humanity = dwindling.
At LEAST give us bishonen male equivalents of them.
Actually, no, I can handle some of these. Like mermaids. Mermaids, mermen, have that certain allure, despite being fishtailed, but SPIDER and SERPHANT human hybrids? Ew. Ew ew ew!! Especially spiders. Spiders are cool as creatures but freakin' repulsive and FREAKY sounding human hybrids. I don't CARE if the top half is attractive, the BOTTOM HALF is EW.

So trade losing clothing with dead babies and people falling ill from the plague and then it can be a mind game right? Well good news for you as I am in the process of writing a light novel exactly like NGNL, almost to the letter, except any scene where a character would originally lose an article of clothing, a dead baby falls out of the sky and a random citizen character begins sneezing in the background instead. As long as the game itself remains unchanged the fluff rules don't matter so rejoice.

But then you would just be left with Overpowered Characters who still never lose or have issues, explanations for their victories pulled out of thin air or by coincidence, zero physiological thought as we never know anything Sora or Shiro is thinking. It's really had to call it a mind battle when you never hear internal dialogue from either side when in fact you should be hearing it from both.

If you fixed this and added a proper ending you might have a good LN.

I do agree that it was definitely lacking on internal dialogue, which is one of my favorite aspects of Manga especially as in literature/text formats it is much easier to bring out rich internal dialogue than with visual media. Another example of that would be Baby Steps. The manga has a LOT of internal dialogue. The anime tries to bring as much internal dialogue as they can but as a true testament to the difference of mediums, they don't do nearly as good a job with it in the anime version.

Although with NGNL is seems a lot more like they try to visually express ideas and thoughts from the characters from how they react to certain situations, and typically there are 1 or 2 parts broken up where the characters will explain their thought process to the viewer/opponent as sort of a lump sum deal. Usually these occur somewhere midway through the game, then another final revealing at the end that expands on what is already known based on witnessing how the characters acted in a situation. I do prefer more in depth dialogue though.

Some of you all are just too serious. I think this is a clever, though obvious, item to market and that it's quite amusing.

Sounds like I just started an indie body pillow business. Now to just use all that capital I earned selling flamethrowers to buy licences.

I'd rather buy a flamethrower than one of these. Discounting the obvious space concerns what the hell could or would you do with a seven foot serphant-humanoid body pillow besides use it for your own lewd fetishes? What a waste.

I think that it's cute.

Not the pillow. The concept.

Obviously you use it to wrap yourself up in a snake girl's tail and sleep peacefully at night.
