Aeron inspected her as she moved from the shadows. He hadn't had a chance to really look at her before. He noted the details of her mask, and the strength of her sword. He didn't doubt that he could take het, however he was still quite cautious. It was an unusual location for a fight. She didn't look like a stupid fighter by the way she held herself, either. His eyes focused where her's would be when she spoke. He wasn't quite sure what to say, however he didn't feel he had time to stare at her blankly as he thought of the right response. "Release her?" He looked down at the girl, who's squirming had stopped momentarily. He shook his head. "I am working for a personal agent." He said. "Myself." He continued. His grip loosened on the girl, but it was not enough for her to break free of him. She had asked him about his intentions as well, he noted. "Nothing that you have not implanted within me." He said. It was an answer, but at the same time it wasn't. He wouldn't have acted if she had kept to herself. He wondered what her connection to demons were. Perhaps she had fought them before, he mused.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lianna said, sounding a bit annoyed. She still kept her distance. The man was obviously an experienced fighter, and she knew she'd have. A bit of a challenge if she got into a fight with him. She couldn't get cocky. She looked at the girl the demon held captive. It was then that she realized that if the man hadn't known he was being followed, that if she'd just left him alone, he wouldn't have captured the girl to catch her attention. 'Looks like I messed up again....' she thought with a heavy sigh. Just further proof that her talent came from her fighting skills, not from her intelligence. She'd just try to negotiate with the man and hope things ended well. She just hoped she was smart enough to do so.... "Listen, if you let the girl go, I won't ask you any more questions or try to get any information. If you leave human territory, I'll stop following you. If you do both, I'll do both as well along with not telling anyone that you were in human territory."

Aeron stepped one step closer to her, pushing the girl forward as he went. He wasn't trying to be intimidating, he just wanted to see her a bit closer. "I was satisfied to keep... Walking..." He said, somewhat trailing off as he went on. It had started to hit him that he was getting the confrontation that he wanted. He tilted his head at what she said. "You think that she's a bargaining tool, then?" He asked. She seemed to be thinking of the obvious. Perhaps in her worry she hadn't thought this through, he mused. He stepped closer, his grip becoming slightly looser again. "I... Would say she's something else." His muscles began to tense, however it wasn't too noticeable. He was... Quite close to her. He felt ready to pounce if the need be.

'Forgive me, mother... You taught me well yet I'm just too much of an idiot to accomplish anything...' Lianna thought, mentally talking to her deceased mother. She hated demons... First they kill her mother, try to kill her father, and give her a power that causes all of her family and friends to leave her or force her to kill them, which left her homeless, on her own, and thinking she was an orphan, all for ten years as of now, and now all this.... "No, I would never think that of another human being...." She was starting to get quite frustrated. "Why'd you even feel the need to come to the human side anyway, huh? What's your problem? We're not at war anymore! I stopped spying after the war ended!" She realized too late that she'd just revealed herself as a spy. She looked down. "Am I just too stupid to do anything right...?" she said quietly, more upset than ever now.

Aeron raised an eyebrow. She was certainly interesting, and seemed to have a history with his kind. His suspicions were confirmed with her outburst about being a spy. If she was too valiant to admit the girl was a bargaining tool, then she would likely not see her as a lure. He blinked when he realized she had asked him a question. "I was curious about your behavior." He said. It was more of a curiosity that compelled him to do it than anything. He thought of humans as below him during the war, but now he just thought of them as... Different. He wasn't that surprised that she had caught onto him now that he knew she was a spy, although it did stir another curiosity in him. He had killed all of the spies that he knew of that had infiltrated his section of the army. He tilted his head as she looked down. The girl in his arms was becoming quite loud, however she was silenced when his blade began to cut into her throat. It wasn't enough to wound her seriously, but it was enough to keep her quiet. Returning his attention to Lianna, he wasn't quite sure what to do. It was unusual for him to see weakness in someone before him without the intent to kill in his mind. He didn't think she was stupid, although he wasn't one to console people. He stepped closer again and realized his heart had begun to beat rather fast. He was really getting closer to a human. He wasn't sure how to feel about this development, even though he had caused it to happen. He felt as if he should say something, but wasn't sure what.

Lianna was too caught up in hating herself to notice that the man had moved closer. However, she did hear the girl go quiet. She looked at her slightly. "I'm so sorry..." she apologized to her. "This is all my fault... If I'd just minded my own business, you wouldn't be in this... My mother taught me well, yet I disgrace her with my own stupidity... I'm such a failure...." Lianna looked back down. "Look at me... I say all I'm good for is fighting, and it's my father who taught me that... But he also always told me to stay strong, and I never do... And he's even still alive to tell me...." She looked up towards the heavens above now, where her mother was. "You and father taught me so well, and I don't even use it... I'm such a disgrace, I'm so sorry...." Lianna often talked to her mother when she got distressed enough, and this was one of those moments.

Aeron watched her self-loathing and narrowed his eyes. If there was a time to try to get her, it would be now. He let go of the girl and pushed her away from himself, instead lunging at Lianna. His intentions were to grab her like he had grabbed the girl. It occurred to him that he didn't know what his motives were, exactly. Earlier he had decided he would kill her. However once actually given the opportunity he wasn't so sure anymore. He was quite interested in her inner struggle, at least. His hand closed around her mouth, however he wasn't sure what to do next. He stood there awkwardly, moving his blade to her throat, feeling her breathing under him. The girl had ran away as fast as she could, looking back once to see if Aeron was following her before running off. Aeron narrowed his eyes. It wasn't the smartest decision to let her go. He would have to move Lianna if he didn't want her bringing the police.

Lianna's eyes widened when she realized she'd been caught, unseen under her mask. 'If I just let this happen because I was lost in my own thought, I really am a failure... No! I refuse to fall to this man!' Lianna wrenched herself out of his grip, getting cut across the neck in the process. She pulled out her sword, ignoring the wound. She was close to the man, which meant this would be a bit easier for her. She slammed him to the ground then stood on top of his back, her sword against his neck. "I really would not like to kill during a time of peace, but I will see to your death if necessary."

Nagisa watched from above through the window of their apartment. The man took a girl as hostage, then dropped her anf lunged at Lianna. "no..."
Nagisa took their bow, knocked an arrow, and aimed it at Lianna's sword, so that the man could escape. Nagisa was good at archery, they didn't doubt their skill.
Nagisa let the arrow fly.

When the arrow hit, Lianna held her sword steady, even though it took a little bit of effort. She looked at Nagisa. "What was that about? Nagisa, do you realize that he's a... a demon...? Did you see what he did to that girl? It's not like I want to fight during a time of peace. But my own stupidity got me into this, so I must continue to be stupid... That's easy for me, though...." She looked down and sighed. "You always call me an extraordinary person, Nagisa, but the truth is, I'm just an idiot who can fight...."

"No, you are great, you use your skills to help and save others. I want to be like that too, that's why I'm saving this person from you." Nagisa climed down from their window
"This is simply a misunderstanding. Just like this entire war. That's why I joined the school, you see. I wanted to clear the misunderstandings, I wanted extraordinary people to realize that other extraordinary people are on the other side. Lianna, I'm begging you, put the sword down, I can help you escort him to the forrest of doom."
They turned to the demon held by Lianna, "please understand that we humans make silly mistakes sometimes" Nagisa then looked at both of them with big, purple eyes, pleading for them to come to their senses.

Lianna sighed, then put her sword back in its sheath and got off of the man. "I'm actually quite surprised I could hold him down just by standing on him," she said truthfully, "I'm probably at least a little bit underweight for my age; with his strength, he probably could've just stood up." She then looked down at the man. "Well, let's go, then. You might as well get off of human territory before that girl calls attention to you."

Aeron had the idea to simply stand, however something made him pause. It wasn't just the arrow, however as he moved his hands to do a push-up to cause her to fall off, he decided to pause. He wasn't sure why. He could probably have reached up and grabbed her ankle before slamming her to the ground. The arrow, however, did interrupt his train of thought. Perhaps he just didn't have the energy to do anything. He was a bit amused by the person 'saving' him from her. He was quite certain that neither of them knew who he was in the army- all of the people who had been a first hand witness were dead, in any case, and although rumors spread like wildfire he doubted there was a face to them. When she got off of him he immediately jumped to his feet, brushing himself off. He still had the blade from before in his hand, however he wasn't preparing to use it. His winga fluttered slightly under his cloak. Lianna had stepped on them when she had stepped on his back. He looked between the two of them, processing what they had said. "Leave?" He said, his eyes focusing on Lianna. She had a good point about the girl, however he really had no intention to completely leave the area. He was a bit taken aback that he was talking to them so casually. It seemed like he was in a dream. He looked down at Nagisa. Their eyes seemed to carry quite a bit of weight to them. He nodded at them, although he didn't really process what they said last.

(It's been over a month. I'm horrible.)

"Yes, leave. You don't belong here." Lianna said, starting to walk off. "Now follow me." She wasn't fond of demons at all and wasn't going to be kind to this man just because Nagisa showed some sort of liking to him. She wouldn't fight him, but she wouldn't make friends with him, either. She didn't need to be friends with the kind who had murdered her mother and ruined her life.

Nagisa smiled, giddy with excitement. Hikari is beginning to see that demons weren't always bad people. The plan will run smoothly. With a skip in their step, Nagisa followed Hikari.
