I mean seriously? Video below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MffCIf7iK8 (Confrontation begins at 2:15)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaF2xv42hd0 (different angle and longer)

I see a lot of these sort of videos now, is there a problem with policing over there?

Okay first off this man is what law enforcement call an EDP (emotionally disturbed person). EDP's are the worst to handle as a police officer, and you get called to them all the time, just like this guy.

Secondly, go to 2:26 and watch this guys hands. He's sticking his finger in the cops face, waving his hands in his face, nearly touching him (especially 2:31). 2:42 he says "You get out of here, you get out of here" pointing to the guards, and now he isn't just singing he's being belligerent after being told to leave.

Lastly, that is not a body slam. He didn't slam his body, he used his weight to take him down to the ground to arrest him. Look at 2:51, the cop on his knees in the arresting position, while this EDP keeps yelping.

This wasn't a jolly old man. He was an EDP. I've seen this time and time again, and they get belligerent, they get crazy, they start yelling, and you need to subdue them to make an arrest.

That's what you get for singing songs past their expiration date.

That's not the proper way to handle the situation, that was excessive force.
The role of the guards is to keep the peace, not to create it.

Dressed in a suit and well groomed? This smacks more of a publicity stunt or a protest rather than the off tempo rantings of someone emotionally or mentally challenged.

So finger pointing and free speech isn't allowed? Also you don't even know if he's an EDP (unless you've read a source I ain't).

Dude he didnt need to push the dude on the ground. Secondly I read up on this the guy wasnt a EDP as Aiyu called it he was a regular guy who just likes to sing at the top of his lungs. The police should have gone up told him to stop and let him go which he was gonna do he was walking away before the Cop decided he had to go all Pro Wrestling on the guy.

Literally I could have been this dude cause I sing everywhere. Thats fucked up.

Shoving your finger in someone's face? That someone being a police officer and you being a crazy old man singing songs in a public area? Yeah that's not allowed.

My source is experience, something that most people who sit on their armchairs and talk about this subject have a shocking deficiency of.

If they are eating. In what looks like to be a closed area of a restaurant. . . he is most likely trespassing. While the couple that filmed it seemed to be enjoying it, someone else may have reported him.

He wasn't slammed to the grown that's correct.

Freedom of speech is only really allowed until you start to interrupt someone else's freedoms. That's not to say you can't have an opinion, but you can't just openly invade a place of business and bother someone.

Obviously however, the entire situation is not fully revealed just based on a short clip. SO meh.

Cop did something that was not needed.. and in the end a "real" cop would atleast say now that guy atleast walk away in peace/not shouting disurbing others? (but cop used force in sted, it was not a peacefull way of doing things)

but at the end the old man seemed to resist a bit (could be some pain from old body, well ofc after the body slam?)

most cops I would run into would atleast give a warning if you are making too much rukus or noice...

Let's just feed the frenzy that is SJW's yelling about "muh police brutality".

I'll come back when this thread is 50 pages long and full of NWA lyrics.

Obligatory NWA lyrics

What the hell, you think we need some bells
Yeah, homeboy, might as well
There it is, so now what's next

Well I understand where you're coming from then, but still it just seems that's a little excessive.

All force is excessive. No one wants to do it.
