If so, why do you think that? If not, what do you think was the most stressful time period and why?

Worrying everyday about getting eaten by the wolves you are hunting seems extremely stressful.

Worrying about your future and the technology and your future mate. Just the future is very shifty and it can be very stressful.
I think.
I believe it's the most stressful because you can quote on quote, be successful from nothing but you end up failing and you get depressed. Look at the depression and suicide rates of this age. It's like the highest they've ever been.

I for one sense we could potentially be more stressed than our previous generation. Although the dangers of war, famine, pestilence and death are more common grounds back then, I believe their notion of stress is that of a more 'natural' state whereas this generation may be inclined towards artificial stress. In my example, I actually am typically stressed out for more mundane reasons; that is sleep, education, anxiety, etc. Although with respect to another individual in the prior generation, the situation should be easily suppressed. Again I know not of what levels of stress were experienced and to what scales, but in my belief I would more likely be feeble than that of the previous generations.

Yes.
All of my great grandparents were poor country people but they lived off the land. They would hunt and grow their own food.
They didn't have to worry about paying the electric bill because they had all the firewood in the world.
Their knowledge of the world was also very limited and they didn't have to worry about wars and stuff like that.

I think life was much slower back then even though the issues were different and probably more deadly.

Now, we have to keep up with a million things every day. Technology has made us able to do things more efficiently, but we definitely have to do more things than people back then and we now live longer. More daily work x longer life duration = more total work.

I think people of all ages worried about different things. It is a matter of what we are stressed out about, not whether or not we are stressed.

No. Not even close. 100 years ago when people had kids most of them were lucky to make it to adult hood. You had no real choice in what kind of food you would eat and if you got sick there was a good chance you might die.

I remember hearing about a study that showed that high school students today experience as much stress as a solider from WWI. I'll try to find a link, but to answer the question, yes humans are more stressed now than ever before.

Not even close, the only reason anyone would think this is the super romanticized image of pre-modern life presented in historical fiction. Life used to be extremely difficult for the bottom 90% of society.

Most likely. Too worried about other people's problems and choices that ultimately need to be ignored.
