I plan to do the free upgrade for windows 10, but not just yet. I waiting for the bugs to come out.

If any of you have already upgraded, how is it ?

Is it better or worst?

Are you have any problems?

I know we' all have to upgrade to it eventually.

Tell us your experience with it so far?

You have a year from the release date to upgrade for free. I'd wait it out a bit. . . more and more issues keep coming up with the privacy settings.. and security 'features'. It seems basically stable enough.. but yea, what SiliconMage said.

Well I installed the windows 10 on the first day it came out and it worked fine for the 2 weeks but after that my windows menu didn't work anymore and had other problems like photos kept crashing and calendar didn't work.

I would recommend to wait for while till everything is fixed.. I feel like it's still not enough stable.

I haven't had any problems. For me, it runs way faster and with less issues than I had with 7 so I don't think its all that necessary to wait a long time. But I guess some people's experiences are different, I haven't had any bugs.

Pretty smooth.
I already got used to it. It's better than 8.1 for sure.

I installed it on my laptop as a test and it seems to be running stably. I made sure to fuck around with all the settings so I'm not downloading and sending stuff out without knowing, but it seems better than 8 at the moment. Don't know if I'll be replacing my desktop running Windows 7 with it any time soon though, it still doesn't match up to that.

I like it a lot so far. I just had one issue with a memory leak, but it was from my network drivers. It was easily fixed once I found the source of the issue. Overall it runs smoother than 7 or 8 did for me (on my same rig) and I really love it.

It's alright but i'm having strange headphone issues where the sound randomly turns up when i pause a video and resume it again. Minor issues do appear so if you hate windows 8 upgrade but if you want to bugs to be ironed out first wait a little while as the headphone issue is a little annoying at times.

I had to switch back to windows 7 on my gaming pc for me it feels like a dumb down version of windows. Also we have no idea what's going on in the background yet interms of information gathering or what ms really has access to. Also I read on gamefly chat that people where complaining that it locked out pirated software via windows update. I don't pirate anymore but back in the 90s I used to when I was in high school

I have had no issues with it. It runs games faster than Win 7,8,8.1 and is much easier to navigate than these too.

I have had no issues with games or streaming either. All is good for me.

While I have no personal experience with Windows 10, I do have an Uncle (it's a bit further than that, but that what he likes to be called) who tried it out at work along with several of his co-workers.

According to him, if you end up liking it, it seems to speed up your computer by at least two times what you're used to. The problem, according to him, is that - going by his coworkers experience - it takes about two weeks of use before the symbols/pictures Windows 10 uses becomes something you're used to. Until then, it's extremely annoying and you have to slow down (while you try to remember what picture means what). As for my uncle, he switched back to Windows 7, because he just couldn't put up with it. However, he freely admitted to me that the co-workers that toughed it out through those weeks to actually learn how to use it all seem to love Windows 10.

I hope this second hand experience with Windows 10 will help people reading this topic.

Upgraded from 7 and it works perfectly fine for me. Haven't had a single issue with it. I am already completely used to how everything works. It's not complicated at all.

Windows 10 worked fine for a day or two, but then my hard drive was completely corrupted and I had to pay for repairs. (Fortunately, I didn't lose anything that was gravely important.) According to the folks at the shop who helped me out, the new OS has been causing lots of problems for their customers. I highly recommend waiting to upgrade until we can be assured of Windows 10's stability.
