i remember as a kid, there was this section in the clothing store where they allowed kids to play crash bandicoot while waiting for their parents. no sound ofc, but still fun :p and they also gave candy, double win!

Oh my gosh, I'd do that all the time in stores! There were similar things to that when I was a kid too! Now they just put consoles on display and don't even allow you to play them, at least from what I've seen But I never had candy, lucky lol

Much as I love my PS3 (my old 60G "fat" model with the PS2 backwards-compatibility, that I just last month had to retire, but not to worry, since all my favorite PS2 games have since been 3-upgraded on PSN), I have to admit:
There weren't that many actual good games on SegaCD, but oh, that feeling when you first saw full-motion video after years of 16-bit Genesis....

(Recently played Sega's "museum" collection disk, with all the great Genesis 16-biit JRPG's, and while I can wonder what I saw in them, some were still good.)

My best videogame memories are the ones that I've had with friends.
Like playing Monster Hunter and Phantasy Star Portable on PSP.

PS2 definitely, with games like FF XII (my #1), FF X, Tales of the Abyss (my #3), it was the JRPG fans' greatest console.

The original Xbox was my favorite for shooters, especially Halo and Halo 2. It also got me into the Elder Scrolls series with Morrowind.
The PS3 had Tales of Vesperia (my #2), Tales of Graces (and Xillia and Xillia 2), Valkyria Chronicles, and the FF X and Tales of Symphonia remasters.
The best memories I had with a Nintendo console was with the SNES, as the best of Mario and Zelda was on that system (I didn't like those series when they went 3D).

I made the decision to game on PC exclusively years ago, but I have fond memories of growing up with my old Sega Genesis and N64 as a kid. From Sonic, Contra, Earthworm Jim to Super Mario 64, Turok, and Ocarina of Time, those were the days.

To be honest my greatest memory is with the Playstation. I had Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Legend of the Dragoon, and Final Fantasy 7-9. Hours of game play in each game and I still wish Legend of the Dragoon would get a remake or a sequel because that story and world was amazing and the fighting style was very fun.

Is legend of dragoon really that good? Never had a console so not nostalgic, but then I might play it once on epsxe on my tablet like I am doing with a ton of jrpgs, platformers, racing games, space sims and other great psx, snes, genesis, gba, ds games I never had the chance to play.

Point is, it got rather average review (6-7), mostly praising graphics but bashing the storyline as very generic and subpar... and that I what I play them for :)

You say the story is great, I would be thankfull if you could say what you liked about it XD What's it about? Maybe it *is* worth playing :)

AS for the original question: PC! never had anything else when I was young XD
