The latest chapters of Fairy Tail (ch. 448), UQ Holder (ch. 90), and The Seven Deadly Sins (ch. 136) are missing. Earlier, they were listed in the "Coming soon" section. Currently, none of them are listed in the "Just Released" or in the "Coming Soon" sections. I also do not see the latest chapters listed on any of the pages for those manga series.

Crunchyroll doesn't seem to understand the concept of "quality control" or "customer service" when it comes to the manga side of things. It has become far too routine for CR to not have the chapters out on time, or to have them out for a short time, then inexplicably remove them for a while. I'm paying for a premium membership and I'm asking myself, "What the heck am I paying people to constantly muck things up?"

Update: 4.5 hours later, and Crunchyroll gives us the middle finger on getting to read the new manga chapters.

It's now been over four and a half hours since the new UQ Holder chapter was supposed to go live, yet it's still not displaying. New manga chapters not displaying properly for hours or even days after they're supposed to go up has become a nearly weekly occurrence over the past month or so. One of the things about being a premium member is being able to enjoy these simulpubs, and I've been doing so for over a year, but the recent inability of the people in charge the manga section to have the new chapters up and working on time is really defeating that particular purpose of having a premium membership. Fortunately this issue hasn't affected anime streaming... yet. A CR subscription isn't expensive by any means, but that's still money I could spend on other things, and as a customer I expect to get all of what I pay for, as advertised. These past few weeks I have not been getting what I paid for. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Fairy Tail and Seven Deadly sins comes out tomorrow, on wednesday, so it is no surprise that they aren't up yet. Not sure on UQ Holder, I'll get back to you on that one.

If you guys have so much trouble about getting the chapters out at the right time, how about putting them out one day later than they used to be as a permanent measure? If that means the chapters will always be on time, I could accept it, but the fact that the chapters are constantly delayed nowadays is getting just a little bit annoying.

I only follow eight titles that actually update, so my experience may not be universal. But for a while now, over half the time updates don't show up in the updates list until after they come out, requiring that you check every day within a window of hours. Or they don't show up at all, especially with Square Enix titles because they don't like acknowledging their "simulpubs" are usually months late. It's annoying to have to memorize the most recent chapter's thumbnail for every title and go through the titles regularly to see if an update slipped past.

Which would be bad enough, but on top of that one of these happens somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 the time (with apologies to ANB for plagiarizing 2-4):
1) Update shows up in the list, as well as a placeholder for a new chapter. Deadline passes. Next day, the placeholder is deleted. Chapter shows up eventually, usually a week or more*.
2) The chapter appears for a short time after the clock zeroes out, then disappears for hours or even days.
3) A blank page appears after the clock has zeroed out. The chapter icon only goes to the same said blank page.
4) No link icon is shown for the current chapter for hours or days after the chapter is out in Japan, but you CAN access the new chapter by going to last week’s chapter (if you are a premium member), going to that chapter’s last page, and clicking to advance to the next page.

* - We were lucky that it's only a day for today's chapters, assuming that they really do show up (I'm not holding my breath). But yeah, this bait/switch fools a lot of people (at least the first time), so I hope FloydYoder doesn't feel bad about the mistake if he/she sees this.

I will be extremely surprised if anyone bothers to respond from here on out, because CR has developed an unfortunate habit of pretending issues don't exist if the company has no plans to do anything about them. Sometimes they'll at least give an answer that doesn't address the problem, but even then it's generally ignored thereafter.

Those titles come out on Wednesday in JAPAN at 09:00. At the present time, that is 17:00PT on Tuesday. It has always been Tuesday since Crunchyroll started simulpubing UQ Holder.

That's not a solution. The actual solution is for CR to make sure the manga appears on time.

I'm REALLY irritated that they have countdown clocks again to make us wait yet another day.

What I meant is that I wouldn't mind if the new fixed release date for every week becomes Wednesday instead of Tuesday if that means we can actually trust that the chapter will be out on Wednesday.

To be, it's not the waiting time per se that ticks me off, but rather the instability; I hate that I cannot look forward to read the new chapters on Tuesday anymore (actually Wednesday in my time zone) because they are delayed or randomly removed 50 % of the time.

Understood. However, even if they shifted to Wednesday, I don't think it would solve the underlying problem. Certainly, it wouldn't be a simulpub any more.

Touche, I forgot about that detail. :P

I'm not entirely sure (maybe you or someone else knows more) if the problem is that they have trouble getting the chapters ready in time for the Tuesday release, or if it's plain laziness/carelessness/incompetence/ignorance from the manga section staff's side. In case of the former, a fixed Wednesday release could help the problem even if it's not a simulpub anymore, but in case of the latter it probably requires a major change of attitude to get stable releases again.

The latest chapters of Inside Mari (ch. 55) and Silver Nina (ch. 62) are still nowhere to be seen over a week after they were supposed to come out. I really wish someone at CR would at least acknowledge that this is an issue.

And now CR has messed up again with the new Fairy Tail chapter... Why was it even set to release now? Shouldn't it be out in some 7-8 hours like usual? If that isn't a mistake, and it really was supposed to release 8 hours earlier than usual, then there is still a mistake as it obviously hasn't come out...

To err is human and acceptable. To consistently refuse to stand by your errors and not to try fix them when you're a company with paying customers is less acceptable.

Line to bet on how many chapters will be late forms to the left.
Line to bet on how many will never post and the placeholder will be deleted in the morning forms to the right.
Line to bet on how long it takes someone to post a FAQ that blames your computer for the delays, straight down the middle.

Line to bet on how long until Shinji mocks the posters and claims there are no delays*, around the block.
