Of course the whole ancient alien thing is pretty much grade A BS. For the rest of the story see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9w-i5oZqaQ

Well they have already found basic life on other planets so I'm more inclined to believe intelligent beings exist in our universe.

I have not seen any data that actually shows life on another planet. They have found none yet. They have found signs that could (note: could, not that they definitively do so) mean there was life in the past on Mars. They did find organic compounds on that comet that are highly similar to those on Earth, and while they do not conclusively prove there is life on the comet, they at least prove that it contains some of the building blocks for Earth-like life.

Odds of life existing somewhere else in the universe are pretty darn good, so good that if there isn't any other it would be mind boggling. Complex life as we know and understand it requires a certain level of safety to form though. According to current theories and knowledge our solar system has a setup that is particularly good at protecting Earth from incoming nastiness. This setup may not be unique, but we have not found any systems as well setup (I think I recall hearing about one that is close). The data says life of some sort is almost guaranteed, but that complex life is not as guaranteed. This doesn't mean the odds say it can't happen, just that we can't say it is a sure thing based on available data.

Bullshit. I have read the original "ancient aliens" book Chariots of the Gods and its one of the dumbest easily disprovable things ever.

I've yet to observe sufficient evidence to conclude that there is intelligent life on this planet let alone in the universe. In all seriousness though I would think it highly improbable that we are alone in the universe. The sheer size of the universe mandates that even if we were created by a freak occurrence of random events that else where a nearly identical series of events is highly likely to have occurred. I'd go so far as to hazard that there are even Homo Sapiens elsewhere in the universe.
