This may seem like a strange question but it crossed my mind, I'm unorganized when it comes to most things and watching anime is no exception. I normally watch about 10 or 15 anime at once and I decided to be more organized with how I plan out to watch it.

This probably isn't a new concept and you fellow enthusiasts probably have a large list of 'planning to watch' anime, this might be a good idea. But I'm a total nerd when it comes to making a schedule or pie charts for something. I love it. So from looking at my 'currently watching' on MAL, I decided to make a schedule to knock them out so I could focus on my 'plan to watch' list and the anime that will air later this year *ahem* One punch man, Yuru Yuri season 3, so much hype...

After putting a few factors into mind, I was able to create a list that would keep my mood at an even level and not have me depressed by the end ( For example, watching a sad anime followed by a very lively and happy one to raise my mood, anime can make me depressed very easily), finishing what I've already started first and the end of the list will be anime that I've barely started (1 or 2 episodes in) and also based on how eager I am to watch them. I also added the days that I plan on watching them.

So here is what I came up with! I know its a pretty dumb idea but I'm actually excited to go by a schedule, seeing as how I work, it will help me organize my free time better.

:Currently Airing: (Ore Monogatari, Non non biyori season 2, To Love Ru-Darkness 2, Monster Musume, Actually I am)

No game no life - Mood lifter (8/21-8/22)

Kiniro Mosaic season 2 - Major mood lifter (8/23-8/24-25)

Henneko - Mood may decline depending on ending (8/26)

Oreshura - Possible mood lifter (8/27-8/28)

Ladies V Butlers - Definite mood lifter! (8/29-8/30)

SNAFU season 2 - Lowers mood with ending, though incredible (8/31-9/3 OR 9/4)

Boring world with no dirty jokes (when all is available uncensored) Mood booster! (9/5 - 9/6)

Himouto! Umaru-chan (Marathon after finishes airing) Mooooore moood booost! (9/7)

B gata H Kei - Probably a mood booster (9/8 - 9/10)

Oreimo season 2 - Mood takes a dive and digs into the earth (9/11 - 9/14)

Strawberry Panic - Lesbians. Automatic mood boost (9/14 - 9/18)

Show by Rock - Cute girls in band, mood lifter! (9/19 - 9/21)

Etotama - Even more lift! (9/22 - 9/25)

Mayo Chiki - Do you even lift??? (9/26 - 9/29)

In total: 19

So do any of you have a way of sorting out which anime you're going to watch? Or do you just kinda do whatever and not care? I'm never this organized, so this may or may not work.

I try to watch my best shows last / however watching 48 is not that simple ! With both CR and Funi I jump around with whats first ! BTW that dont include the 5 / 7 dubs I am watching too !

Then if I do OVAS / Specials Movies that throws in an added factor but usually I do them first or last!

One thing is constant I watch the three Dubble Talk Animes and then Dubble Talk discuusion on Wed Nites !

Sat and Sunday I tend to watch The Funimation similcasts first for whatever reason IDK !

But if I am having problems streaming that throws everything out of whack !

I just try to watch the simulcasts the same day.
I watch something old but new to me if I have spare time.

Wow thats a lot to keep up with! Just reading that made my head spin. Is Funimation a good service? I've never tried it, well i actually have multiple times but it never accepts my card info, when i KNOW its correct. So i gave up on it

At any point, I'm probably watching close to a hundred anime series at a time and completed a little over 2100+
I tend to pick up between 20-34 new series each season and rarely drop anything.

I tend to watch my anime after work and start off with darker material first and end the end the night with more light content since I would hate to end the day on a sour note.

Fridays (9-10 episodes) and Saturdays (10-14 episodes) are usually my busiest days since so many series release their episodes on those days.

OVAs/Movies and specials are usually reserved for the end each season when many anime series are ending and there's a slight gap before the latest season begins.

That's a pretty detailed plan! Mine is much simpler, not especially influenced by the type of show something is, but it is a loose plan, and I organize my queues at the beginning of each season to accommodate it.

I watch mostly simulcasts as close to when they air as I have time for, and I catch up on weekends.

1. Precedent is given to the 13 CR shows I keep up to date with, and Shimoneta and Prison School on Funi.

2. Second priority goes to 3 other simulcasts on Funi.

3. Currently there are 6 other simulcasts on CR and Funi that I dip into when I have a few moments and feel like it but I'm still undecided whether or not I'll stick with them.

4. There are a few older shows in my queues that mostly sit there hoping for the mood to strike, or for a chance to blitz through between seasons, but I typically designate one of them as routine daily commute watching. Lately that's been how I get through long-running shows. It's how I caught up on Hunter x Hunter and it's how I'm almost caught up on Gintama now. I'm aiming for a couple of shorter shows next, but haven't planned exactly which ones. There's stuff on my Funi queue I'd like to fill that slot but unfortunately their mobile app requires WiFi so I can't watch using cellular (unless it's changed since I last tried) so those shows may end up waiting for a while.

Copy and Pasted

Whatever the release days on Funi and CR are for simulcasts. Watching Jormungand now, I'll probably watch the last 4 episodes later today; not sure what I'll watch tomorrow, maybe Coppelion (which I have been avoiding since 2013).

I usually have something to fill the void of simulcasts (since most of them are on Fri and Sat), but just depends on what I'm feeling like. Recently I've been on an action binge.

I used to watch anime like that too, but then I started out balancing a variety of shows by genre. I used to get really moody when I binge watched anime too. A normal anime day for me would be something like

Shimoneta
Monster Musume
Gintama
I can't understand what my husband is saying
Naruto
DB Super
Euphonium
Love Live

ecchi-comedy-action-moe 1 episode each

The next day I switch up the shows by how I'm feeling, so something like

Food Wars! x2
I can't understand what my husband is saying
Jojo's BA x3
SM Crystal x2

when I'm feeling manly. The genres stay the same always, and as I finish shows I replace them. I'm about to finish Gintama so I need a comedy and I'm thinking Kiniro Mosaic atm. On top of having a variety of shows, I usually have 1 show to change things up. It can be a weird or violent show, or just something crazy and hilarious, or maybe an older show I never watched. Classic category*

Watching anime this way really helps me find out about new shows. Instead of saying "what should I watch next" I already know I'm looking for a good comedy and I start hunting for some. I find it also saves me a ton of time having to look up new shows, I know what I'm looking for before I even need a new show.

2. Naruto
3. Prison School
etc..

If there are a lot of anime I want to watch at the same time. I watch the first episode of each anime show I want to watch. Then I decided which one is better to watch now and which one to watch last.

I must be a moody person or something, one day I'll be doing a marathon of something the next I'll lose complete interest in it. There are some shows I just watch as it airs, but no matter how good it is, there is the random chance I will just lose interest for no reason. I don't see that happening with charlotte though, I am too much of a key fan to randomly drop that, key may be the only exception to the random drop rule.

I really don't even know how I decide to watch a show, I just watch it? I do have rules, like 7.5 mal rating rule, length rule; it can't be really long; (but that one gets broken a lot lol) I don't like planning because with planing there is no adapting to how you feel about things, like when I watched the death note drama, I had no plan to watch more than 1 epi, just sort of watched it on a whim to see what it was like, but now it is one of the things I look forward to most. Then when I wanted to watch part of the 2nd season of snafu I though oh I am going to burn through this fast... but really I just can't get into it at this time for whatever reason, it doesn't seem bad, I just can't get into it right now. The one that takes the cake though has to be mushi shi, this show is a legendary, but my mood just has to just right for me to want to watch it I still haven't even finished the most recent season.

I plan by emotion setting the happiest possible titles for the end of the session. For example this season it's Non Non Biyori after something like God Eater.

I try to use them to put space between sets of work.
For example I'm currently working my way through the last of the Rosetta Stone Japanese program, and watching Psycho Pass 2.
When I start failing levels I take a break, watch an episode, do a chore or something else physical and then go back... this cycle tires me out but it's good for getting me motivated.

note: Psycho Pass is not the best show for relaxing after frustrating work, and it's a bad idea but I rarely follow my own advice...
