Even with her eyes closed,
She knew what the child was thinking.
She did receive news of the tribe, yes,
And she was an angel herself,
But she did not know of every happening.
"I know not where you come from.
Your only option is to search,
For the place you once called home.
Though you do not know where to find it,
You will be sure of when you do.
Only there will you find your past."

What could she do for this child,
Except to wish her well?
What form of assistance could she give?

It made sense to the girl, wonderfully so that it excited a happy nod from her. All Alise had to do was find someone who once knew her and her past, and being led to where she once came from. Smiling brightly, she wondered how she never thought of such a thing before; sure she had only just found out what sort of creature she was, but surely finding someone who knew her story couldn't be that hard. The girl pursed her soft lips, her eyes dropping to the ground. Her past was the first priority in her mind, but what if the guardian was right, what if it was truly a horrid thing. Alise shook her head, her hair swaying from side of side, she couldn't think like that, not after everything. "Thank you," she said, once again in her soft voice, making sure to thank the one who helped her so delightfully.

"You are welcome, child."
She could not think,
That the child's past,
Would be kind to her.
She surely was interesting,
And concerning, all-in-all.
But would she truly be safe?
Would she find the past she sought?
"Be safe, child.
You journey will not likely be,
One that is easy or short.
But keep heart.
And you will make it,
To the place you seek."

She did not know,
This child's fate,
Yet she believed,
She would be safe.

At that, Alise smiled. She did not know what her future held, but she knew that if she had come this far, it was impossible to give up. She knew just how difficult it would be, searching and reclaiming her lost memories, but if anyone had the determination for it, it was her. She wondered for a moment what she had been like previously, had she been nice or maybe evil? Perhaps the thought of that made her feel even more excited to find out. Currently, she was considered bad, though in truth she had only gone along with his words for the sake of her memories, but the more she thought about it, the more she thought that maybe she really had been bad. After all, like the guardian had said, only something incredible could have stripped her of her wings. "What sort of crime results in being rid of an angel's wings?" Alise wondered if she'd hear an answer, a part of her wasn't sure the other would divulge the information.

"I know not.
Something truly heinous,
For the punishment is not only,
Banishment from your home,
But from your race.
Such punishment is not,
Given lightly by any."

As she wondered what,
the child might have done,
She began to think,
That she may not want,
To discover the truth.
To know of something,
Deserving of such a sentence,
Was not something,
She knew she wanted.

A terrible crime, for some reason the thought of so sounded delightfully amusing to her. Even so, she could not think of a reason for someone such as her to commit such a crime. Perhaps she had a different motive, or perhaps it had been for someone else. All the thinking was making her mind ache, she hadn't prepared herself to find out so much that day. "Do you believe that someone like me could have committed such an act?" were the words that flowed out of her mouth gracefully, though as soon as her lips had closed, she did not know of what sort of answer the other could give. Alise shook her head, her hair flowing over her shoulders due to the disruption. "Nevermind, I do not think you have such an answer for me, and even if you did I am not so sure I would wish to hear it."
