The Welsh Dragon, Ddraig

As the guardian turned her back on him, he erased her memories of him, similar to what he did to her tribesman. With all her memories of today's events gone, her words mean nothing. With all that done, a sigil appeared below Ddraig's feet as he was teleported elsewhere, away from the water tribe's beaches

(Hope it was okay that I quoted you. Also, is it all right if we stay in this forum because it's not crowded.)

She'd completed her vengeance; their blood had long dried and been washed off of her blades. But she couldn't return to them, the two who meant so much to her, not the way she was now.

Raven had wandered on her own, living off the land as she went. Eventually, she found a strange building, a dome in the middle of no where. finding that a curious thing, she ventured closer. Though there were runes placed around it, which she did not understand, Raven was the kind of person to do something all the more if someone told her not to.

She'd found the place well stocked and made herself at home. This would do for now. If the owner showed up and wanted her to leave, she would, she supposed.

Currently, she was making a heavenly smelling dinner. Cooking was the one skill she had learned without the intention of killing someone with it. She enjoyed it and missed those times she had taught Aldaris. He'd been such a bad cook before they'd met. A ghost of a smile spread across her lips as she stirred the pasta.

(it's fine)

"I have so few visitors ..." He said, appearing from what looks like out of nowhere. The tall figure stood behind the girl, looking down upon her cooking. "tell me, child what brings you here?"

Raven spun around to face him, her guard immediately up. She hadn't heard him, sensed him, felt his presence at all. That hadn't happened since she was a child still in training.

As he made no move to hurt her, she slowly turned back to the stove, tending to the food so it did not burn. She was ready to fight at any moment, however. "You must be the one who lives here. I will leave when the food is done; I don't like to leave things half cooked. You're more than welcome to have it. I had been traveling a while and came across your abode. I only intended to stay as long as you were out. I can pay you for the supplies I've used."

He was silent for a moment, looking down upon her, as if to process through some thoughts or to think of a reply. But that wasn't it, no. It was something else entirely. He read her thoughts, as if they were an open book just waiting to be read.

"I do not meed your payment, child" he said as he kept his eyes on her "leave as soon as you are able and never come back, I prefer the company of ghosts rather than that of the living ... but tell me child, your eyes bare that of the dead, who's ghosts do you see in all your waking moment?"

"That's a rather personal question. What business is it of yours whether I see ghosts or not? Am I not allowed to have my thoughts remain my own?" she retorted. Their deaths had been good ones, slow and painful. And when she'd finished, something in her had clicked into place. Or maybe it had broken. She couldn't tell. Raven turned off the stove and drained the pasta. Then she added the homemade sauce and took the garlic bread from the stove.

"Will you be a eating the food? If not, I'd rather not see it go to waste," she said turning toward him, her eyes traveling from his feet to his face.

"your meal is your own, child" he said in reply "eat with the ghosts that surround your mind, the ones that you keep seeing even when your eyes are shut as you once did not long ago before they died" he continued, as if to send her a cryptic message, from him or from the dead none can say.

(Could you use capital letters, please? It's one of my pet peeves.)

"Do you always talk like that? I can't imagine many people like you. You seem to come off very assuming."

Raven put the food on plates and set them on the table. "Are you sure you don't want some? I made enough for more than myself thinking that I might have leftovers for tomorrow."

She got herself some water and sat down, steam rising from the food. "I'm Raven. What is your name?" she asked him, wondering what sort of being he was and where he'd come from originally.

(if I must )

He stood where he was, not moving as he watched her by turning his head at his direction and only turning his heel when he deemed it necessary. "Then it shall be your meal tomorrow, child" he said, ignoring her previous remark "Who and what I am is none of your concern, child and that includes where I am originally from"

(Thank you!)

"You mean you don't mind me staying the night?" she asked, taking a bite of the fluffy garlic bread. Raven shrugged and went back to her food. It didn't matter to her where he was from or what he did. He was simply a curiosity. Talking with him kept her from thinking about what she was going to do. Would she ever get back to who she'd been when she was with the two she cared about?

"Is there something you prefer to be called then?"

"I would prefer if you were to leave as soon as possible, but whether it be on your own will or my force, that is yet to be seen." he answered "That is none of your concern, child.". He just stood where he was and looked to the girl without movement, remaining stoic as he always is, though something has piqued his curiosity that is the fact that she passed the runes that kept this place guarded, that is quite the rare occasion, albeit not one for him to inquire research over.

"So you're saying I can stay for now then," she said after a bite of pasta. "If you don't give me something to call you, then I can just think of something, right?"

Raven looked up up and down once more, assessing what she should dub the stranger. "How does Cain sound to you?" she asked, finishing her meal.

Standing, she stowed the leftovers in containers and put them in the cooling unit she'd found when she'd first arrived. "I'm going to go wash up then. I'll leave in the morning if that's all right with you."

"I would prefer you leave now, however, do as you wish I shall cast you out when you have overstayed your welcome" he said in reply "why should names matter to you, child?" His gaze shifted from her to something behind her, she may not see it but he does

"But you said that I could eat my meal and have it tomorrow, so that suggests that you're willing to stay at least that long. But you prefer that I leave now. You're quite a strange creature."

"Why should it matter what I call you if you don't care about names?" she asked before leaving the kitchen.

Raven took a shower and washed her face before climbing into the bed.

"You have overstayed your welcome, child" he said and snapped his fingers. At just that moment, all turned to white. nothing existed, nothing ever has. Nothing was there except white, as if everything has been like that from the very beginning. It is all white. All white and nothing else.
