"The plan hasn't changed." Venus spoke through the rising bubbles. Again, she continued to pull Angelica away from the surface of the water as the bullets flung and flew and crashed amongst the surface. Once she let go of the other mermaid, and took back her pearl necklace, she sped her way to the shore of the water. Above, the choppy waves became more unsteady and grew bigger. They lashed out against the shore and swallowed the men into the water as the waves drew back.
The two man duo had sunk in the water. Their eyes perceived blurry images as the salmon tailed mermaid swam after them. Again, he rose his gun to fire underwater, but it clogged and misfired. A water current began to drag the men further out to the depths of the water - all at the command of Venus Biaelse.

Angelica Marinus • Mermaid
Angelica watched after the two men were drug deeper into the water. "..Right." She grabbed one of her floating flowers and stuck it back in her hair. She'd assumed that since this was the other Mermaid's battle, she'd want to drown them. ...Why am I still here again? "I think we should leave something on shore as a warning to others."

Their screams rattled in her ears as their breaths gave out and the current released them and spit them forward. Their bodies traveled back to the surface - barely alive. The men scrambled from the waves and hitched back into the wilderness, frightened, but aching for revenge.
"No need." Venus spoke, her eyes settling on the distance of the shore. "I wasn't going to drown them. I couldn't." Her voice turned cowardly. "But thanks- for your help."

Angelica Marinus • Mermaid
Wasn't going to drown them? Confusion showed on her face, but she let it go and shrugged. "I didn't do anything, but... you are welcome." What did dad always say? 'It's the thought that counts'...?

"I'm sorry, for dragging you into this mess." Venus spoke softly, lacing the pearls around her neck and allowing them to settle just on the base of her chest. She tried to smile wryly, but lost it after several seconds.
She swam to the coast and had washed ashore with the waves. Her tail morphing away into a pale complexity of legs and feet and a lower torso. Her bottom half nude, Venus made an escape to the woodlands, and coming back out later with a poorly sewed skirt around her waist. Her upper half had remained clothed from the clothing she inherited before diving into the water.

Angelica Marinus • Mermaid
Angelica swam to the beach shore, staying more-so within the water. "It's okay, I ddcided to try to help so I got myself into it."
Having spent most of her life in the water, she didnt ever really have land clothes. There was this one big tshirt she had but she lost it... she never really got around to finding more clothing. "Nice skirt," Surprisingly, this was the one thought that came from her mouth that wasn't sarcastic. She poked around with a starfish, bringing it closer to the water.

"Oh?" Venus peered down at her messy, white skirt. The fabric was already tearing and ripping around the seam and it had been held up by a rope around her waist. She tried to smile clumsily about the comment. "Thank you. I found it." Replied her. "It was much too big for me though."
She frowned, remembering curtly that she didn't know this mermaid's name, nor did she know hers. "I'm Venus." Venus said bluntly.

Angelica Marinus • Mermaid

Angelica let her ramble before softly saying "Angelica." She sat up in the sand, still facing Venus. Her tail remained while the wves crashed, her long colorful hair covering her breasts. "I'll have to do some snooping of my own later on, maybe when the sun goes down."

Before she became a hunter, before her hair darkened and her eyes turned red, she was a child. And she escaped.

Swimming for her life, Raven finally reached the shore, her small bag of things strapped to her back. She had money, a change of clothes, and pain. So much pain, it hurt to swim, it hurt to walk once she reached the surface.

She made her way though the Water tribe's territory, straying into the Fire tribe's. It took her days to get there, but she had to keep going. She had to get away from them.

Trees surrounded her. They were so foreign, but she didn't have time to look at them. It hurt too much. The pain had started when he- She couldn't even finish the though. Raven clutched her stomach. She was undernourished, exhausted, and alone. Losing consciousness, Raven collapsed to the ground.

Aldaris groaned in annoyance as he took stock of his food supply. He was still a bit miffed that his master left him here to fend for himself. "Survive for a week with nothing but this knife. If you do survive then we may begin your real training." His master said before knocking him out. After a few hours he regained consciousness and found himself in the middle of the forest with nothing but a knife on his hands. That was two days ago. Now he had a small camp, complete with a small fire pit and makeshift shelter made of tree leaves and a sturdy wood frame, in a clearing not far from the beach. He was close to a viable food source and he was near a stream where he can collect fresh water. He noticed that his supply of fish would not last him the day. He took out a makeshift spear he made out of a thin yet strong branch. Pocketing his knife and gripping his spear, he made his way to the beach.

Whenever he looked at the beach, it would always awe him at the splendor beauty of the sparkling waters. But there was something different at the sight he was seeing now. He noticed a figure on the beach, just near the treeline. He slowly approached the figure and noticed it was an unconscious girl. He made it to her side and checked her pulse. Feeling that there was a beat in her pulse made him sigh with relief. Without thinking he carried her on his back and quickly, but carefully, brought her back to his camp. He laid her in his shelter. "At least she's away from the glaring sun..." he mumbled. He inspected her briefly, checking if she was injured. Seeing none whatsoever, he proceeded to take the meager amount of fish he had, placed them on sticks and rested them on the fire to cook. He could hunt for some fish later anyway. His first priority is the girl's safety.

His breath on her neck, the rough feel of his hands, and his strength, it all pinned her in place. What was this? What was he doing? She was his daughter, wasn't she? And yet, there was so much pain.

Raven woke with a start, bolting up right. She regretted the sudden movement and clutched her lower abdomen. Glancing around her, she saw she wasn't at the edge of the ocean anymore. Instead, she found herself in a makeshift shelter of some sort.

Her eyes fell on a boy. He didn't look much older than herself. "Did you bring me here?" she asked him, taking in his appearance. "My name is Raven." Her light green eyes held his gaze. "Where am I?"

Aldaris nodded his head. His gaze fell on the girl that just woke up. He could still tell she looked fine; but her eyes were rattled and her body was a little bit thinner than normal. He turned his gaze to the fish he was cooking. Seeing it was done, he got them out of the fire and placed them near the pit to keep them warm. He took one stick and offered it to Raven. "Here, eat. You need to keep your strength up." After offering her the fish, he sat down by the entrance of the shelter. "My name is Aldaris Seculus. If you were wondering where we are, well...you're in Fire Tribe's lands...Ember Forest of Pyro Island. Well, we're near the border of the land of Water to be exact and the only thing that separates the lands would be that expansive sea..."

Raven reached out and slowly took the fish from him. "Thank you. What are you doing out here? You're part of the Fire Tribe, right? Why aren't you in your city?" She would much rather he talk about himself than the other way around.

As she ate, her thoughts returned to that night. Before she knew it, tears were already rolling down her cheeks. Raven tried to calm herself down, but after running for days, adrenaline the only fuel for her body, she'd finally stopped. And everything had caught up with her. Loud sobs came from her for almost half an hour before she eventually quieted down enough to talk, the occasional hiccup stopping her.

"I-I'm sorry. That must have seemed strange. After all you've done, I shouldn't be more of a burden to you." She wiped her eyes and took long, shallow breathes, stopping the tears that welled in her eyes from falling.

Seeing her crying, Aldaris stood up and took out a sea shell from the side of the shelter and proceeded to head out to the small stream near his camp. He reached the stream and scooped up a good amount of clean water. He quickly returned to the camp and gave her the shell filled with water. He sat down near her to make sure she was fine. "Don't worry. I can tell you've been through a lot. If you need to vent, then please...don't hold back. It's not healthy to keep everything locked up..." Oh, how much of a hypocrite he was. He too had problems that ate away at his psyche. But stubbornly, he kept it all in.

"Well," he said as silence descended upon them, "I'm here as part of a...test before I could fully train as a hunter. I'm a member of the Fire tribe though I am a non-bender. I'm not in the city because of the first reason and some personal reasons on the side..." He looked at her before asking, "Are you alright, Raven?"
