Here are mine. Some of these quotes are by other people. And some of these quotes are from me.

"Anything is possible. It is just a matter of whether or not you have enough will power and determination to make it possible." a quote by DesuMaiden

"Flying to Moon was impressive. But I believe we can fly to planets in other solar systems many light-years away if we protect the biosphere and Earth in the right ways" by DesuMaiden

"I want a nation of workers, not thinkers" John D Rockefeller

"Imagination is more important than knowledge" by Albert Einstein

"I don't believe in heaven or hell. But I do believe there is probably an afterlife because of the existence of ghosts" by DesuMaiden

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding."
― Kahlil Gibran

"When you stop attempting to match the herd, you become a shepherd who cannot even feign the language of sheep. Yet sheep are no less and the shepherd no more."

Last one is something I've said myself and continue to uphold in my own life.

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you." - Kahlil Gibran,"On Children", The Prophet.

"You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow." - Kahlil Gibran, "On Marriage", The Prophet.

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
― Socrates

"A planet doesn’t explode of itself," said drily
The Martian astronomer, gazing off into the air.
"That they were able to do it is proof that highly
Intelligent beings must have been living there." - John Hall Wheelock

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." (hence all mythologies) - HP Lovecraft

"If religion were true, its followers would not try to bludgeon their young into an artificial conformity; but would merely insist on their unbending quest for truth, irrespective of artificial backgrounds or practical consequences." - HP Lovecraft

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” - Sun Tzu

"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." - Confucius

Lovecraft is my favorite Horror writer. He even inspired people like Stephen King to write! You even find some of his references in Connan the Barbarian! He was a brilliant man, however, he died young due to stress of life and his waking horrors.

I have all of his works. All his letters, books, novellas, short stories, poems and all. I loved it! Where I got a lot of these quotes too! Read him if you want good horror, no blood and gore, just "Unspeakable, incomprehensible horrors".

Though I did not know the place, I set out for the land of my dreams. Having arrived at the land of my dreams, I found I did not know the place.
