I need to read the proposed law in this entirety. This seems a little ridiculous on its face and from the summaries to be the whole picture.

Old news, already a topic on this and it was shut down already if I recall, the proposal that is, tried to find the topic but buried or just not seeing it.

I do know it was by AiYumega or whatever his name is.

There's no way they could implement this.

If they make this a law...they'll maybe punish four people and shut down a website or two, and everything will be back to normal a week after.

It's extremely hard to deter an international hobbyist community in any long lasting way.

Wait....derivative works may be criminal even without complaint?

How would enforcers of this law go about arresting people? They would have to know a lot about many animes, possibly making them anime fans. Anime fans that may arrest other anime fans. Sounds strange.

I see too many issues for this to be real law. Even if it passes, I don't think the law would really have any teeth. They would probably focus on well-known imitators, not a random girl on the street in a sailor outfit.

It got denied already and yes it would be near impossible to enforce.

Meh, did Crunchyroll hire a lobby agency for stuff like that before? the answer maybe yes.

I watched this video yesterday and think the law is a bit ridiculous. In my opinion it would do more harm then good.
