Aside from anime conventions, etc. My first concert was seeing Penicillin Nano, Kotoko and Kristine Sa at A-kon.

The first band I ever saw was Radiohead in 2012. I also saw Queens of the Stone Age next year. This year I will be seeing The Polyphonic Spree and Blue October.

How about you guys?

Muse - Wembley Stadium 2010
Muse, Rise Against, Warpaint, various other bands I care slightly less about - Reading Festival 2011
Rise Against - The waterfront 2011
Muse - Emirates Stadium 2013
Warpaint - Koko London 2014
Rise Against - 02 Brixton Academy London 2014
Muse - Exeter 2015
Korn - 02 Brixton Academy London 2015

That's all the major ones I can remember at least. I was going to go to Download this year but missed it for various reasons. I was also going to see System of a Down this year but I missed the chance to get tickets. Hoping to see Muse against next year and possibly Disturbed. Maybe any other band I like if they come to England.

I always wanted to know what its like to go to one of these concerts. I wanted to go to one, but I'm afraid it'll be a huge let down.

What makes it so different between listening to it on a stereo system and live?

Well with rap they bring surprise guests or other members of their crew, they often mix the songs up like add dj'ing or fade the beat out an in or mash up the songs like do bits n pieces of songs.
They sometimes get girls from the crowd up on the stage. Sometimes stage dive.
Some rappers , seeing them live is the only way to see./hear them preform with a live band.
You can meet them! after parties, the atmosphere.
Like you all rap/sing along.
The artists will often do something of relevance to where he is performing.
They can make funny jokes n stuff.
But yeah just the vibe is an awesome experience.
Sometimes you get dick heads around or some artists arent the best live or the sound set up can be a bit distorted but really some artist just really know how to put on a show and it can be a really awesome experience.

My first was one my parents took us to when I was a bit younger and that was Billy Ray Cyrus. Another they took us too was Ted Nugent.

The one I went to and I took my younger sister with me was Lindsey Stirling during her recent Shatter Me tour. I love her and her music so much and it was such an amazing performance. So fucking good. <3 <3 <3 !

I'm jealous. What made me even more jealous though is one of my friends got to meet her and take photos with her.

Been going to concerts since i was 14, so there's way too many to count.
I've seen all the big metal and rock acts and lots nobody as ever heard of.

My next show is this Tuesday with Epica, Eluveite, and The Agonist in Baltimore.
After that, it's Sanctuary & Shattered Sun in October.

One show that I missed and was real pissed about was King Diamond at the Filmore in Maryland.
It was a full out set with all the stage theatrics and from what I saw on youtube he's in the best shape of his career.
