After being unable to cast from chromecast on iOS devices for over a month ago (already reported this on a different thread), I purchased a HDMI interface which allowed me to watch my favorite anime shows, that is until yesterday when I upgraded my Crunchyroll app to the latest version (2.40.0) from the App Store and now I only get sound, but no video.

HDMI interface works fine and displays audio and video for everything else, even within the Crunchyroll app, I can see all episodes being listed but the moment I click on them to play, screen on my device goes black as well as on the TV and only audio can be heard.

There was an update to the Crunchyroll app years ago that allowed video output on apple devices as long as an official cable from apple was being used along with a premium membership. Well, I'm a premium member and my hdmi interface is certainly apple, so it has to do with the latest upgrade.

BTW, there's an auto play button on the right bottom of the screen. Any idea of what this is for?

Any light you can shed will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

We just pushed out an update to the app that should be fixing the HDMI issue. Let me know if the issue was resolved for you.
