Every time you try to let a video load for more than ~10 mins, the video break, forcing you to refresh the page... tested on 3 pc, every time I pause it, it break

He is right, the Crunchyroll Player is bad, this is why I watch on my iPad and Chromecast feature is great. Watching on .com is not a good experience.

Some people have problems with it, some people don't. Maybe try playing at a lower resolution?

BTW, I moved this to the Site Support / Minor Questions forum where it seemed more appropriate.

I don't know why they haven't switched to something like HTML5 for their player. It offers much better video playback than flash could, at least in my experience.

For me it stutters like crazy midway through episodes. And this is supposed to be a paid service. Before you tell me about checking my bandwidth, I was on YouTube watching high-definition, highly detailed videos including beautifully rendered CGI animations, 60 FPS video game trailers and a number of vlogs. Not even a single drop in frames, yet Crunchyroll could barely manage smooth playback on 480p videos. And if a fibre optic connection isn't fast enough to stream episodes, then I don't know what else to do.

Unfortunately, there's nothing anyone can do until CR decides to upgrade their out of date video player. It is truly terrible and needs an update. Fortunately, I haven't had an issue for quite some time now (i.e. freezing, stuttering) and am very happy that I don't have to cancel my sub because of it. Though I'm just one guy, there are plenty of others who are still experiencing bad service, and this needs to be addressed. It's funny, because CR came out and said they were making big changes to their web browser portion which included a new video player and new servers back in 2014....back in 2014..and yet there has been no word ever since. It's like they scrapped it and said screw it, getting more IP's and getting our service on as many devices as we can is more important. Granted yes, it is important to try and reach a bigger and broader audience, but don't you think fixing an out of date video player that hasn't been updated for YEARS is as very much important too? Come on CR...

I've always had the pausing for 10 minutes will break the video problem for as long as I remember.
It seems that the site is just going down the shitter the past couple days. Some pages don't load on the first attempt, episodes loading into a blank page, episodes stuttering constantly. Might be just me, but it's pretty bad.
My internet is not at fault, just like the other comments. I can watch HD YouTube videos fine, and the FUNimation 1080P videos work 100% with no buffering. I'd probably have swapped over to FUNi completely if they managed to get every anime like CR does.
It shouldn't be hard to swap video players, like come on CR...

It not working after being paused for 10 minutes isn't a bug so to speak. It is a streaming player, not a progressive download player like on Youtube. Even netflix will timeout if you let it sit paused for too long.

Streaming tech isn't quite as simple as it is made out to be. I wrote a short post over here about why CR can't switch to an html5 player so easily.
