The beach is fun and being too scared to go to it imo is like being one of those people too scared to go outside out of fear of what could happen to them.

Humans have been more of a danger to sharks than they have been to us.

Yes I'd still go in the ocean, survival of the fittest if a shark attacks me and I can't fend him off he won that day. But if he attacks me and I win, shark will know not to mess with me again.

I would say that video is fake. Great White Sharks only grow to 17 feet. That looks like a Carcharodon Megalodon (extinct).

All the other sharks of that size are harmless to humans and eat plankton (Basking Shark and Whale Shark).

To answer your question, I love the ocean and sharks. I was out wade fishing when I had a shark come up to me and decided he wanted the fish attached to my hips. He just swam up, took the fish off the hooks on my belt, and swam away. I got a nice photo of my shark buddy at least! I would also like to go with a Great White some day (in a cage of course). I am staying the F away from Tiger Sharks and Bull Sharks though!

Whale Shark video (harmless): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn5a3XJhJd4

Real footage of a average (16ish foot) Great White breaching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUqnA3FzPI4

Great whites can grow up to 20 feet. Obviously that one was bigger but its still a plausible size. Megalodons were 50 feet long I don't think they'd have the power to breach.

As for the main topic, naw im never swimming in the ocean. Not because of sharks, but because of all the other nasty shit swimming around.

Watching thay makes me want to go shark diving! Nature is just amazing. Imagine being in the presence of something like that. Make your blood start pumping and heart start beating faster just thinking about.

On a side note have you seen how many shark attack fatalities there are yearly? It's hardly any. More people die from just driving lol.

I'd much rather die in a car accident. There are just some things that aren't a matter of odds lol.

That I think I watched too much animal planet. Way too much crazy shit in and near the ocean.

I think i might just put a little tp much faith in statistics but hey they work. It's usually how i win all my sports bets lol.

Also animal planet tends to exagerate.

Been to the ocean dozens of times. Been in the water dozens of times. It's just a fish. Seen a few of them while at the beach and stayed in the water. The chances of them actually bothering you aren't that high despite it happening.

I'm not the type of person to give any fucks so I'll take my chances. Least it would make for an entertaining obituary.

I love sharks, but you'd have to be suicidal to swim with a bull shark or the other smaller breeds, they are super aggressive.

Yep, I'll still go in the ocean. I live a block away from the beach so it's pretty awesome. Have I seen sharks? Yep. Have I seen alligators? Yep. Have I swam with both of these animals in the vicinity? Heck yeah. Just be aware of your surroundings and don't be stupid about it. Nurse sharks are awesome and there's usually a ton of those by the reef. Two things that will make me get out of the water are water moccasins and jellyfish. Hands down, I'd rather not take the chance.

Props to you
