We are all simulated characters in some sadistic video game. The player we refer to as god.

So when playing Sims, we should be as kind to them as possible... just in case

Well if it's not, then we're all on one hell of a drug.

If my whole life is just lie, then the illusion is convincing and realistic enough that I don't care to find out a way to discover what is real and what is not.

There's an Buddhist koan that explains that even the notion of consciousness and thought are false. Our brains simply exist at the moment, and each moment we have the memory of the previous moment (and thus, our memories from the moment before that, and so on). This creates the illusion of continuity, wherein in reality, "we" doesn't exist, only a series of moments.

That's actually no different than what it tries to deny, though. It's just saying that time is part of our perception. The premise is the same, but the interpretation of meaning is different. They could just as easily say that time doesn't exist, only memory (and thus "us"). Because the concepts of time and self are intrinsic to our perception, it's difficult to glean any real meaning out of denying them.

It is my belief we are but a particle within a larger atom if you zoom out far enough (or in far enough and end up back where you began)

Reality is what we can observe, so this is what we make it.

What if when you're dead, that's when you're actually alive.
And this "life" right now is you evolving. When you're dead (alive), that's your final form and reality.

If one person's perception of reality is "accurate", wouldn't that automatically render everyone else's perception of reality inaccurate?
If one person's accurate, then nobody's accurate, but if everybody's accurate, than nobody is.
Hmmmm…

Everyone's perception is accurate from their own point of view.
Like how I say Pizza is better with lots of tobasco and because I'm eating it, I know this to be true, but you may say otherwise.
or
Everyone is incapable of experiencing the real world and is limited to what the individual cannotice
Like How I'm colorblind and you may not be.

The answer is NO, this isn't real.
Humans can only experience a faint outline of the real world.

You mean by the time our brains figure out what's happening, the moment's already passed?
