I am a huge fan of the Ghost in the shell series and movies, the universe and ideas are enthralling to me.

I also have enjoyed watching Cowboy Bebop, Claymore, the Neon Genesis Evangelion series and movies, Black Lagoon, Gantz and Hellsing Ultimate. To a lesser extent I also enjoyed Elfen Lied and Future Diary, but I felt there was a certain depth missing in them.

If I could have some suggestions for anime on this website that I can watch that follow similar themes to the anime mentioned above I would be most appreciative.

Much love.

The first things that come to mind are:

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Eureka Seven
Trigun
Steins; Gate

Unfortunately, none of those are on CR. As for shows that are here, you could try:

Fate/Stay series
Monogatari series (starts with Bakemonogatari)
Parasyte

Gatchaman Crowds - Not dark and very much an anti-action show. Much more thoughtful then it appears at first glance.
