Anyone else here Geocache in their spare time? My best friend recently got me really into it. I'm hooked. We are getting ready to hide our first cache and i intend to make the clues anime themed, potentially the final cache itself will be an elaborate safe puzzle. Might do a Phi Brain theme for the final.

Geocaching can be dangerous, so if you want to get into it, go with a friend or a group. Especially if you are doing higher terrain difficulty levels. I have yet to take on a 5/5 (max difficulty). So far I've found around 100 caches, always new ones popping up in my area but nothing super special.

What i love about Geocaching is it takes you to places around your local area you might not think of venturing to if you don't live there.

A few years back, I went on a road trip to the mountains with some other people. It was a blast, and on the last day, we went on a hike up one particular mountain, and happened upon a box. The thing is, none of us had ever heard of geocaching before, but we stumbled upon this thing that was hidden in the rocks! It was pretty cool, and we all left something there.

That's cool, Geocaching can be discovered that way. A lot of people find random stuff and don't know what it is, and they discover the game that way.

Uh geocaching is very dangerous. There's been people who wait at the drop points, and kill ya. D:

Geotagging can be too, but people still use it constantly.

Any form of geolocation that can be somehow found or publicized, handed over to bad people, could be considered dangerous. It's what you do with it that can make it more dangerous or less dangerous.
