So, because I'm on trip in Japan, I can't use the Crunchy Roll service?
That's so sad because my English is far from good enough to appreciate anime without subs. And I have no idea of airing times or if there is a similar online service.

Take care everyone.

Well, I was very confused at first since the app wasn't showing anything. But then the website gave me the reason. Will have something to do when I get home then.

Goodnight fellow fans.

Interesting... I was able to use CR app when I traveled to Beijing.... You'd think something like that would be restricted since I couldn't use Facebook or Youtube.

it sucked I couldn't keep up with some of my favorite shows, but I discovered SKET Dance (it was the only interesting show available)

Also, apologies to admin, didn't know the forum (sub)sections in detail.

The whole notion of regional content bothers me in this day and age. Let's hope that there will soon be a way for media to become globally and legally accessible at reasonable prices. Admit it, DVDs are dead, or should be.

No worries about the sections, I moved it over to site support where it might fit better.

But basically, CR uses your location to determine what shows are available, since the contracts they sign with the publishers require it. Some areas have TV stations that air the shows and don't want the competition (would drive up prices), some want to wait for DVD/BD sales because they're more reliable than streaming in some areas still, etc etc etc. It's really annoying, I'm hoping worldwide streaming becomes a thing soon so we can all enjoy.

Japan especially is a good example, since it's got one of the reasons we often don't get the uncensored versions of shows - they have some stations airing the anime, then premium stations airing the uncensored version. To air the uncensored, CR would have to pay lots more in most cases to make it worth while to the publishers, but since CR doesn't have a mature-rated premium category, they'd have to spread that kind of fee over everyone, even those with no interest in mature rated uncensored shows.
