I was curious what everyone's favourite seinen animes on CR are (Story Based/Horror/Gore) I looked through the genres several time and it's always seems to be Icchi's or Harems and very few are done in mature style (Not having big huge eyes that are all sorts of different colours) and actually develop the plot past getting all the characters together.
As well, if there aren't any animes like that on CR could someone refer me to sites (Not by link but by name) which are geared towards more serious animes? Also if you could list any animes that are really good on here (seinen of course) it would be greatly appreciated

(As well, I think I put this it the correct category but if it isn't can someone tell me so I can copy this and then delete it???)

I guess Parasyte is considered seinen, so I'll go with that

Actually, the Suggestions/Feedback forum is for giving suggestions and feedback to Crunchyroll (the company/staff).

I've gone ahead and moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum. (It's located under the "Crunchy Connections" section of the main forum page.) It's where users ask other users for suggestions and things.

I don't pay much attention to official genre classifications, and I'll have to think a bit more about what to recommend.

Of the shows labeled "seinen" on here, my favorites would be Toradora, Bakemonogatari, and ef: Tale of Memories.

That being said, I don't really like the classifications on here (and I, personally, wouldn't call Toradora a seinen show, although it is a very well done romantic comedy). Also, none of those was based on a Seinen manga; Toradora and the Monogatari series are based on Light Novels, ef on a Visual Novel (though it was an 18+ one).

Of actual seinen manga, most of my favorites either haven't been made into anime (Umi no Misaki; Toshiue no Hito; Aishita Doborou), or the anime versions aren't great (Ah My Goddess; Ai Yori Aoshi).

If you want more mature, story based anime (I don't watch a lot of gore or horror), besides the three I mentioned above, I would recommend:

Ghost in the Shell (any of it's incarnations, though I'd start with the original movie); on Hulu.
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood ; on Netflix or Hulu
Valkyria Chronicles ; on Crackle (free, but lots of commercials)
Golden Time (about a couple in college; love-it-or-hate-it ending, but a nice story) ; on CR
Mysterious Girlfriend X (screwed up, but funny, rom com based on seinen manga) ; on CR
Samurai Champloo (a fun, violent, samurai show) ; on Hulu or Funimation
Monster (a brilliant thriller) ; sadly, I have no idea where to watch it in English anymore, though if anyone does, please say something.

On here definitely...

Parasyte is alien invasion sci-fi/horror. Very gory at times.
Another - pure horror. Ghost story.
Btooom! - is definitely more adult-based suspense/survival horror.
Dusk-maiden of Amnesia - is a very tricky title. It's got it's serious horror but it's got a cute high school love triangle between a guy, a girl and a ghost girl. It can be very very dark at times.
Interlude - dark psychological thriller/sci-fi/horror.
The Severing Crime Edge - is another mixed bag. It's a great anime. Very gothic in feel and very bizarre/creepy. And can get a bit psycho at times in a good way.

On Daisuki...
M3: The Dark Metal - combo ghost story/horror/possessed undead mecha anime.
God Eater - It's a futuristic sci-fi about a new breed of creature feeding on the populace of the world. Very gory at times. God Eater is also on Crunchyroll but is a few episodes behind Daisuki.

On Funimation...
Darker Than Black - Psychological assassin thriller.
Chaos;Head - Psychological horror. Somewhat gory.
Future Diary - Psychological horror. Extremely gory,
Speed Grapher -Satanic cult level psycho horror.
Shiki - Serial killer horror. Psychological horror.
Tokyo Ghoul - Ghoul horror. Very gory.
Psycho-pass - Futuristic mystery/horror. Very dark and gory at times.
Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace - Mystery/horror. Very grotesque and dark at times.
Red Garden - Serial killer psychological horror.

Hulu actually has quite a few also, most of which are free without a membership.

It'd be probably be between Parasyte, Kaij, Agaki, Mononoke and Shinseaki Yori.
