There is no such thing as "unarmed". If someone breaks into my house, I have to assume (s)he has criminal intentions and won't be reluctant to use force. Bare hands are enough to kill someone.

So I would grab a heavy/sharp item and eliminate the intruder.

The alternative (no heavy/sharp item in range) would be to sneak up to the intruder, hide in a safe distance and scare him/her off by emulating demonic growls.

Neither do i but killing them makes you no better

How do you figure? If someone is in my house where im supposed to feel safe and is trying to rob me(possibly worse). I wont even hesitate, especially whats been happening lately. I just heard a story of a lady(who happens to be a pornstar) was gangraped, shot in the leg and robbed by 4 guys. Sure a few years ago id hesitate, but the world is fucked now. Also if someone is bold enough to try it and they die, I guess we can just call it an occupational hazard.

well as i said if you feel unsafe then shooting is obviously the right thing but if your not scared or in danger shooting would not be right.

Weird i have been robbed by an unarmed intruder unarmed merely means they have no weapon.

no one will argue if you feel threatened you shouldn't eliminate the target.

Ask them to leave. I need medication most of the time to sleep soundly and it'd mean a lot to me if I could at least have a good nice sleep instead of being robbed.

Apologize for the inconvenience. After seeing them out, head back to bed.

I have bats all over my house. But my only downfall is that I wouldn't want to use my good bats....like no. That's a $400 bat...I'm not using that one. And then I would proceed to look for a more suitable bat lol

I'd bash their face in, then call the cops.

I'm trained in Kendo and practice regularly. I'd use my shinai, assuming that my robber doesn't have a gun, to knock him out.

I almost decided "Get something to knock out the robber like in the movies" by grabbing a steel rod near my front door to knock out the robber outside the front porch with a flashlight looking inside the window in my house. Until I saw it was a single policeman, they asked me at 1am if I saw the guy they were chasing running around my house... (helicopter was flying in the sky using a searchlight, with 5 other police-men talking to each other outside face to face just standing there).....my brain was in that moment where you wanted to facepalm so hard that it would go through your face, but I stayed quiet for a soild 15 seconds then said no and placed the steel rod back against the wall. Dont think they found him.

2 months later I think I actually heard a robber climb over the front gate and climb over the back wall of my back yard. I walked outside to see the police searching for him after about a minute, and I was 90% sure what direction he ran off to(I saw the helicopter with a searchlight flying the opposite direction) but instead took option "Go back to sleep cuz who gives a sh*t, i need my beauty sleep".

It really depends if I just got off my night shift I really can't be bothered ask them to make less noise and go back to bed.
Otherwise I might try to kick them out.
