I made omurice as well, and while it didn't end up looking good, it tasted so good! I still make it once in a while.

Onigiri, Aishiteruze Baby/ I love you baby. I put a tuna filling in them.

I'd love to try hot pot ( Princess Jellyfish etc.). I 've had it once in a restaurant, it was cooked at our table.

I've actually been trying several of the Food Wars recipes. Maybe I'll go so far as to try all of them, but some seem needlessly complicated.

I haven't, but I'm not gonna lie...I am tempted to try out at least one recipe.

Hot pot is pretty easy to make and your whole family can eat it. You can use pretty much any kind of broth for the base and then just throw in a bunch of ingredients. A clear broth made with dashi is the best to me. You add a cup of hot water once in a while since you're supposed to keep the heat on constantly, even as everyone takes ingredients and eats them.

Firm tofu, leeks, crab claws, fishcake, pieces of kelp, thinly-sliced meat, rice vermicelli, napa cabbage, ginger chunks, etc.

Satay sauce with soy sauce, green onions, and a raw egg yolk makes for a great hot pot dipping sauce.

Do it! You can start off small and work your way up! Onigiri is a fairly simple one
