Have you ever been to a theme restaurant?

What was the most unique experience you had in a restaurant?

I used to love this Italian/Japanese fusion restaurant near my house. Aoyama Cafe. It used to be a UCC coffee house so the coffee was great. It had such a nice, quiet atmosphere, marvelous decorations, and there were call buttons for waiters. They had a creamy bacon alfredo sauce with karaage, lobster, and some sort of special soba. I ate there once a week.

Sadly, it closed. Food was kind of expensive (around $16 per plate and $4 for coffee) and the location wasn't that good.

There was a pizza place called Strawberry Cones nearby as well. You could get bamboo charcoal rice dough layered with salmon, avocado, teriyaki chicken, and mochi. It was also a favorite restaurant of mine. It also closed. Seems like everything I like is destined to be taken from me. Truly tragic.

well i had a few like once while me and my family were in another country at the time we decided to go to a restaurant that kinda had like a eastern asian and southern asian type of menu and so we ordered our food, it was so good o.o but it felt so weird bcuz we were literally the only ppl there and i've never been to a restaurant where there wasnt at least 2 other customers kinda felt like we booked the entire thing to ourselves idk it's not really that unique but it felt oddly strange to me.

Another time without informing me about anything, my dad just took me along with him to a fancy restaurant and i had to sit with a bunch of strangers that kept on smiling at me, it was very awkward, i only got custard bcuz thats the only thing i could get -_- it was a strange day..

Tolkien themed restaurant in Manila, Philippines called the Hobbit House. The entrance was a large hobbit door. The inside had blunt swords and tolkien themed paintings on the walls, and aged wooden ceiling beams and furniture. Almost the whole staff were little people. They boast that they have 250 types of beer (not root beer). Buy 5 international beers (more expensive) and get a free t-shirt.

That'd be the rainforest cafe.

There are not very many of them, but the inside is themed around a rainforest canopy. There are animatronic alligators outside every entrance, tons of tropical fishtanks on the interior, and a "thunderstorm" every thirty minutes (simulated thunder and even lightning). The food is not the best I've ever eaten, but it is pretty good and decently priced.

Hmm not sure about a theme but i've been to one that had some pretty trippy decorations and stautes n stuff and when you go to the toilet theres like jungle sound effects and stuff.

I went to one that had golf ranges in there, like you can go and whack golf balls into a net.
That same place has new owners, they got rid of the golf ranges but theres like a big kids slide in the middle of the pub and theres out dorr style tables with chained swing chairs and that.

I guess i've been to a "fancy" place also where they place napkins on your lap and pour your wine for you.

And places where you pick your food out the tank and they come show it to you in a bucket still alive before they cook it.

Well when I was a child we got booked on a babeque party ship with about 100 other children. The ship was pirate style, named Jolly Roger and whilst we sailed around some tiny islands they had chicken being grilled for us.

Probably a Peking duck restaurant. it was quiet fancy and elegant.... the food was really good. I was a teen when I went there and everyone was dressed nicely. On the other hand, I was wearing a t-shirt with some jeans

Hmmm... Probably the Hofbräuhaus when I visited Munich... for unique visits. Probably just because of the people I met there. Was a great time.

There was also one time I forget the place or honestly even which country I was in at the time (other than Europe) but it was one of those on-the-go type of restaurants. Like those noodle carts or whatever you see sometimes in occasional anime. This one did a sort of skewer thing with various meats that ranged from usual stuff like chicken, pork, beef, etc to the eccentrics which I honestly can't even remember.

As for theme like places... probably The Rainforest Cafe (before it closed) or the T-Rex Cafe (which I am not sure is still open).

Both were great family/kid friendly places but the food was mediocre at best with a stupidly high cost and if you are not a kid the liking of the atmosphere wore off quickly into annoyance from horrible staff and management.

A few months ago while in Japan I went to a restaurant that had all of the tables and booths circled around a sumo wresting rink. Unfortunately there was no show being put on the night I went.
