I'm all for no limit as long as that is achieved fairly. Unfortunately the most basic principles of this economic concept have been violated.

Regulatory capture at the state and local levels have prevented the "Level playing field" by granting anti-competitive protections to established businesses that are already making record profits with a huge margin. Anytime anyone tries to step in and put and end to it these same corporations start whining about government interference and a large portion of the public actually believes them.

Can we even call it capitalism anymore when our system is so hilariously broken?

Those pictures are so unrepresentative, it makes me want to cry. So much ignorance behind socialism and communism.

This is a truly awful idea for a variety of reasons.
I am curious about how many people know what the term "sole proprietorship" means, though.
I have a feeling that even knowledge like that would really change people's perspectives on this.

Reading stories about how kids start up their own companies I've only ever read about them occurring in America.

I want people to have unlimited earning potential even if it's for something silly like reading visual novels on twitch. Was watching one guys who read/played for 3 hours and he made over 2 thousand just for that.

I contribute all that to capitalism and to the people who had the imagination to think outside the box.

A limit on how much you earn would be awful. Since you brought up socialism I have to say I think the system is a bad idea. I mean sure everyone gets an equal share of things (We are talking ideal socialism) but the result for a lot of people I think would be laziness. I mean if I knew that I was going to get my share of the money no matter what job I got I would try and get the easiest job there is and then just barley do the job. Plus the drive for money is what makes so many great things come to be. If people think the personal computer would have been invented and distributed in a socialist economy are crazy. At the very least DOS never would have been invented.

If we had european style socialism you can bet your ass I would be as lazy as possible. Getting paid just to exist there would be little incentive to improve myself.

There is a difference between Socialism and Communism you know?

http://www.candidatex.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/political-compass-zones.jpg
http://www.diffen.com/difference/Communism_vs_Socialism <--- The socialism you linked was Communism, not socialism. USA even has socialist aspects, and is heavily influenced by it.

Edit: For people thinking that Europe government makes life easy. It does, and yet they have a better economy, education system, health care etc etc. For the most part ofc. There are oddities like Greece.

Source: I lived there.

Since we live in a world and doesn't have unlimited resources then there is a limit to what a person can manage to earn. We're all fighting for a piece of the same pie, some have a bigger slice than others, some exist on mere crumbs.

The moment someone tries to further limit the amount of money I can make with my business is the week I move somewhere else.

There should be no limit on a person's earnings but people should have a livable minimum wage because everyone loves to complain. If you hate your low paying job, go online and start learning something useful instead of sulking on forums and comment sections.

yeah..like breadlines or lack thereof are the whole story. Well you are still just a babe..one day you grow up...maybe. But it matters not, as long as you are happy.

I'm happy cause I don't have to wait in a breadline

I dont think there should be a limit but rather some sort of push so that people wouldn't just sit on there money and have it stagnate the economy, although that's just an assumption, my theory on how holding onto large amounts of money leads to less than optimal situations and I'm no scholar on economics so what im proposing might be entirely incorrect.

I think a limit might not necessarily be bad. It has to be high enough to mean something, but not low enough to restrict most people. It really depends on how it is implemented and what other factors are in play.
