OK, so I am not only a Manga noob, but an Anime noob too lol. I have only seen a handful of anime, but never had the opportunity nor the time to invest in picking up a manga of one of the anime I have seen.

My current obsession is Bleach. I began watching the anime over 8 yrs ago (when my husband and I were just dating, and we would watch it together). We only made it to episode 70 before we stopped watching...life got in the way ya know?

Just a couple months ago, I found Bleach again, and I have since rewatched it--finishing it just this evening, and feeling quite empty and sad now lol.

Like the noob I am, I took to Google to find out if there was more to Bleach only to realize that there is much more to the manga, but I have no clue where I would have left off in comparison. Which also made me ask myself if I should be true to the manga and start from the very beginning, or just pick up where I left off?

So, I am here to ask all you wonderful people out there...

--where should I start?

--where the heck am I in the series of Bleach???

--...and where can I find the manga for it? book or the web...idc as long as it's legit. I am not one to get my entertainment from a place where the creator isn't properly appreciated ya know? ;)

anyhow, thanks in advance!

P.S: I am also taking suggestions for any anime/manga I should check out now that I am finished with Bleach =]

omg I've literally just started Bleach season 1 ;3;
I spent my teen years reading shoujo manga or watching a different anime other than Bleach.
I wish I could help you but I can suggest animes or mangas for you~

Food Wars (Shokugeki no Soma) is pretty good, they have both the manga and anime.
Parasyte, Another, One Piece are a few of my favorites LOL

As for manga, the one that left an impact on me was Orange (a mic of romance, slice of life, tragedy and maybe scifi..?)

Since I've watched only a few episodes of bleach, and haven't read the manga I can't answer your first two questions, but I can answer the third. Viz publishes both the print and digital versions and if you go to their site they'll provide links to online places to buy (such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, RightStuf, etc.)

For an anime on here if you don't have a lot of time but want something to relate to I recommend Wakakozake she is 26 year old professional woman who likes a beer or sake after work and loves a good meal. The show is 2 minutes long and is on episode 10 you can motor through in 20 minutes all episode's but it makes me hungry and always want a beer afterwards.

Shonen Jump adaptations are generally straight adaptations with just filler added in to lengthen the broadcast, so it doesn't seem necessary to start over from the beginning. If you want to pick up right where the anime leaves off, then start with Volume 55. Volume 54 is the end of the Fullbring arc leading up to Ichigo saying he would continue to be a Soul Reaper, which is the very last scene of the anime.

For buying it, any big bookstore is likely to have it as Bleach is one of the big ones. Barnes & Nobels always as a bunch of it. I'm pretty sure you can get it digitally from Viz/Shonen Jump too.
