So. I can't wait for my pre-order to arrive

Listened to both tracks that have been released and I can honestly say that I'm loving it!

What do you all think of the tracks so far?

I haven't listened to it yet. I'm actually getting into coheed and cambria at the moment. I like them fair enough. They have some good songs

I would honestly suggest Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. It has some amazing songs including Welcome Home and The Suffering. I hope that helps!

I am glad I could help. They are a great band. If you need anymore suggestions on the music side of things I'd be glad to help you again.

I've enjoyed a good bit from good Apollo im burning star iv, and I've enjoyed some songs from their other albums, but some of their stuff kind of falls a little flat. one of them, I believe it is called aftermath: the ascension doesn't have as many good tracks as burning star iv, but I haven't listen to the whole album yet. I do like some songs on their new album, but others I'm not too into. Sometimes, coheed and cambria just seem to sound too poppy for me some times. I still enjoy listening to them though. At present time, I'm looking into them, at the drive in, and the mars Volta.

The atmosphere does change from album to album I can agree with you on that especially since Coheed and Cambria is one of the few bands I have almost all the albums for. Good Apollo I'm Burning is honestly still my favorite album from them. Also I think I'm going to look at the other two bands you mentioned I have never heard of them before.

They aren't catchy like coheed and cambria are, but they are good. At the drive in and the mars volta, which happen to contain some of the same members from at the drive in were making music around the same time as coheed and cambria but I don't think they were as big. At the drive in wasn't, but the mars volta was. I will recommend you some songs to start you off with

at the drive in: Listen to
1. invalid litter department
2. one armed scissor
3. napoleon solo

the mars volta
1. the widow
2. inertiatic esp

I will definitely start out with those then, probably when I'm not half asleep though. Oh another band you might like since your enjoying Coheed and Cambria is 3. I would suggest These Iron Bones and The End is Begun. Those are two of my favorite songs from 3.

I've heard that all of coheed and cambria's albums run together in some sort of sci-fi narrative or something. is that true?

Yes, their albums do run together but it is in a specific order that doesn't include their 2015 album The Color Before the Sun. The specific order for the story is a little weird. The series title is The Armory Wars and it actually is series of comic books to elaborate the story and one novel as well from what I know. I've never actually read them. But the story follows this order cd wise with the first and last parts of the series being split into two volumes.

1.The Afterman: Ascension and Descension
2.Year of the Black Rainbow
3.The Second Stage Turbine Blade
4.In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
5.Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV,
Vol. 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness
Vol. 2: No World For Tomorrow

I just listened to good Apollo, im burning star iv vol 2 just a while ago. Awesome stuff. I kept waiting to hear welcome home because I didn't' know which volume it was on. Despite that, there was a ton of great stuff on that album

Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Vol. 1 was actually the first Coheed and Cambria album I ever listened to. A lot of people really love Welcome Home since it's a great song.

don't get me wrong, vol 2 was amazing. Even if it didn't have any real hit songs like "Welcome home" every song was great. btw, message me when you have listened to at the drive in and the mars volta and tell me what you think
