So i'm someone who is overweight .soon not to be due to dieting but right of now i have to say my life is a living hell.

I eat tastless horrible food (fruit and veggies with nothing to mask there putrid taste) and basically super unfilling meals and i noticed i don't get satisfaction from eating healthy food.

I actually took up the gym to work of 400 calories just so i could eat a 300 calorie icecream bar because eating healthy food was driving me nuts since it was bland and tasted natural.

As someone who can't eat anything remotely / slightly bitter i have like very little to eat since sweet and healthy things are rare i have to eat bland shit.

Anyhow that aside my friend is overweight he eats a pizza every week (like i used to) and his food choices are basically for the same reasons i have noticed.

As it stands unhealthy food is more convenient, cheaper and filling and produces the most enjoyment where as bland meals like steak and potato and corn is bland and disgusting.

Does anyone think we will ever make healthy food that tastes remotely enjoyable?

Seriously what are you eating? Most healthy food does taste good or have you never been to a vegan store?
The only probably I ever find is that it's very expensive to eat healthy.

Yes unhealthy and process food is cheaper and very easy to obtain and afford in a very poor state like the southern states it why Texas and Mississippi are the fatest states in the US.
I live in mississippi and the only health food/vegan store I know of is 2 hours away. i weigh 115 pounds because I try my best to eat healthy or not at all and I'm a pesceterian. So mostly when I eat it's healthy and it's never bland.
Flavor comes mostly from seasoning not from the type of food.

The only really bland food i had was some really bad frozen veggie burgers. However one of my ex's told me to get a diffrent brand and it tasted fine.

Grapes , Strawberrys , potato , peas ,carrot , lettuce , onion.
The majority of most meats without sauces.

and those are the only things i can stomach without vomiting (life long problem i can't do anything about except avoid food that does that)

They all taste so bland and i guess "Natural"? it's just so boring and brings me no pleasure at all.

There is nothing that says healthy food cannot taste good and be both filling and fulfilling. You just need to learn to plan your meals and cook.

I would recommend visiting a good book store. Avoid the fad diets and pick up a few books on nutrition.
Also: the most effective way to loose weight is building muscle. Muscle burns fat even while at rest.

Don't have vegan stores where i live but i could never eat it i'm real fussy with plants for the most part i cant eat alot of grown produce except for a select few (listed above)

So besides meat and dairy and those few things my selection of foods is dull and tastes awful to say the least.
It's kind of depressing and makes you want to just give up and go well ill live till 20 and die obese with how bad it is.

Do you vomit when you eat sauces/seasonings?

Grapes and strawberries taste great alone to me; if those are disgusting to you, that's just preference in the end

Meat, potatoes, peas, carrots, lettuce, and onions are all great with proper seasoning

Dieting-wise, as long as you calculate how much you need to eat to lose weight (macronutrients + calories), you can still eat a lot of yummy food; it doesn't mean that you have to eat everything raw or natural

I can't imagine trying to eat chicken, steak, and onions without seasoning

I can't cook in the house im at without getting introuble that being said everything i have cooked tastes subpar as i find it hard to find recipies that taste good.

(apart form stuff like lasagna and Kebabs made with sauces mixed into them)

That being said i should learn to cook because a life with no pleasure food is awful.

Everywhere has a vegan store. Like I said I live in a poor state that works on cheap unhealthy food and the only running Vegan store I have found is 2 hours from where I live.

Nope its the texture and taste and smell different small things trigger it.
sadly my tastebuds have always found sweet foods to be tasty and acidic foods tasty whilst most normal food i find bland and subpar.

Might try some new seasonings though can't hurt to try.

Taste buds can be retrained. It just takes time and effort.

Also: you don't have to eat vegan to eat healthy. Chicken, for example, is very low-fat once you remove the skin. Just don't fry it. You do still need to eat your veggies and at least some fruit and dairy.

One of the main reasons i gave up meat like Chicken and steak is because it is exactly the seasoning that makes it tastes good.

I'm not saying you have to eat vegan i'm just saying for people who think healthy food tastes bad a vegan store is a good place to find healthy food that tastes good. Again though it is pricey.

My tastebuds have been like this since i was a child.

and i do eat chicken honestly without chicken being made into a kebab i would not have survived the whole month of eating healthy i have so far without going insane.

Its just very hard to find good tasting food that makes you feel full and honestly it surprises me people haven't looked into trying to make tasty foods that are healthy also.
