That would have depended entirely on how fast I wanted to get drunk. And if I wanted to remember anything the next day. Vodka, tequila, Sambuca, it was all good.

These days, I don't drink.

If it was not sake i don't know what it was i know it was rice wine though.

It may have been Awamori, which comes from Okinawa.
This is also made from rice, and it is not wine but a distilled drink like vodka and whisky and it has viriations that are stronger than vodka.

I dont like drinking vodka straight. EWW i mean if its been in the freezer then that helps.
Plus the stuff mixes with almost literally everything.
I probably have never tried a really good really expensive vodka though.

And i do not understand why sake has a reputation of being stroung and having a burn???
I bought a bottle once and it was weak and horrible.
I've tried it in a Japanese restaurant where they serve it warmed in the little vase thingy.
I enjoyed that but its not strong like whiskey. No burn?

Scotch, i will drink straight. As long as its decent. I love drinking good scotch straight. With ice is preferable though.

It might of been the type of Sake apparently looking at it there is weak sake and strong sake.

Yeah i have wondered about this. Sake to me always had the reputation of being full on, and in the movie "the last Samurai" Tom Cruise reacts like its strong as when he drinks it.
But yeah from what i understand its just a rice wine and no store or restaurant i've been to has had any other sake than the weak rice wine.

turns out it must be a cultural thing alot of Australians mix there drinks.

Pff i mean i can't take beer but i can take Vodka it seems everyone else i met can drink beer straight but vodka nope

Yes many Aussies do indeed mix their drinks. Lots of people drink those pre mix things.
But vodka is know for being drunk with orange juice or red bull.
But it mixes with rasberry soft drink/soda or lemon soda or pretty much anything really.
Of course most people mix scotch and bourbon and rum with coke. or some with soda water or lemonade.
People mix jagermeister with red bull. Know as jager bombs. I assuming that is a world wide thing though?
And i mean even Snoop Dogg raps about Gin and juice.

Alot of people only drink whiskey sraight if its in shots but anyone who appreciates(or can afford) the expensive stuff, like 18 year old scocth(and up) would drink it straight or on the rocks.
Drinking cheap and/or young scotch straight is just nasty. But i do it sometimes.
And most people who do mix usually mix it fairly strong. Like when i used to go out i would ask for a double (when i had more money to throw away).
EDIT: NOBODY mixes beer LOL!? well, some people do add lemonade. And i hear in China they mix red wine with coke??

I have the constitution of a weakling and it pretty much burns my throat, yeah. But put it in soda, yes, soda, and I'm fine drinking it lol. I tried drinking it straight a few times and I nearly choked.

Of course that was back when I had an issue with drinking like a blithering idiot.

Beer mixed with lemonade is sold here as Radler, which is quite a refreshing summer drink.
The most common one is with lemon, but there are also other variations like lime, (red) grapefruit, apple, blood orange and others.

As for other beer mixes, I've seen beer mixed with red wine but it was not quite my taste as I'm not a wine drinker and when I was a lot younger I used to mix beer with cola (BiCo) or 7Up (Snow White/Shandy).

Most people don't drink Vodka straight because they don't like the taste.

I've only ever really heard of beer n lemonade if its like a real dark ale or stout.
Yeah true people do drink Corona with a slice of lemon or lime. if you count that as mixing/ But come to think of it there are beers here that do have a bit of lemon or lime flavour. Like Miller chill or Carlton draught dry fusion.
I like Beeze neez, its a honey beer.

Beer and wine? the horror! But to each their own.
I love red wine btw, and iam a big beer drinker. And scotch for the win.

Vodka, iam not a huge fan but it is really good for giving one a boost. It always gives me energy. It mixes so dam well with red bull, an awesome combination.
I drank vodka more when i was younger. It was always good cos mixes with anything and i drank it more when i just drank to get pissed.
Same with rum.

Now that iam older i like to drink things for the taste. Cant say that i've ever liked the taste of straight vodka. But iam a scotch drinker.

The only strong rice based alcohol I can think of is Soju ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soju ), but I've never tried it myself and I don't know what the alcohol % would be on it.

Vodka doesn't taste all that great straight unless it's flavored. I do take shots of it though if I'm looking for a quick buzz and choose it over gin for martinis. But just sipping on it straight? Nah.

Now some good ol' whiskey? I can drink that straight out the bottle no problem but always mix with ginger ale if there's some around. Yuummm.

I think I'll stick to drinkin' my whiskey straight versus vodka. I can drink that shit straight from the bottle, but vodka? Nah. That doesn't sound like it taste too pleasant.

Wouldn't a Black and Tan also count? Granted that's beer and beer..

I think there's also Black Velvet.. which consists of a dark beer and champagne, as I recall. I forget if there're any other mixes involving beer but I'm sure there's loads... I just prefer to take my poison straight.

Vodka and sake are basically the only two forms of alcohol in the world I'm aware of that I've yet to get around to trying.
