I completely agree that stereotypes are bad and that there are good women, bad women and everything in between in America.

That being said, it is interesting that in my mind the most clear example of stereotypes comes from the ones Americans have when viewing others. An example would be the sentiment of a good portion of the American population towards muslims.

Just food for thought.

Saying: "What do you think about American women?" is kind of like saying "What do you think of European women?" Whoa there, buddy, there's a lot of states in the mix, and therefore a lot of cultures.I find many East Coast ladies, particularly girls from New England, to be a tad snobby, yet highly capable. Mid-Western ladies have been some of the nicest, most accommodating people I've met, while Southern girls really know how to have fun. I find ladies from South Central LA to be some of the most "real," while girls from Oakland don't take nonsense from others, yet manage to stay chillin'. All and all, I find the question a tad absurd, but I had to jump at the chance to pay my respects to Bay Area women. My girlfriend is from Oakland, along with many of the coolest girls I've ever met. The Beach Boys knew what's up when they said "I wish they all could be California girls."

I do, at least as close as anyone can claim to be. If anyone is familiar with the Hollars in West Virginia, founder effect is a thing.

I'm an American woman and am no way like this.

What you need to understand is that the woman in the video wasn't even an "American" woman. This is a white, privileged, racist woman. And this type of person can be found in any country of the world.

Well, I'm American and from my experiences there are three types of American:

1) The overly Patriotic and religious America: their main beliefs center around Obama has ruined the country, that clerk in Kentucky was treated wrong, America is ruined by liberals and all liberals need to be pushed out of congress, 'i'm not giving up my guns, i'd like to see those shit heads in washington try to take them from me' they also vehemently oppose same sex marriage/relationships yet have affairs, have dozens of bastard children they won't show love to or accept, etc. yet they think they can tell others who they can and can't marry

2) The liberal American: they consider anyone who has a different opinion from them wrong and stupid and tell them this is a new generation and there is no room for differing opinions in the new age, hate religion and insult religion calling it a fairy tale instead of simply saying people believe differently and thats fine, they get butthurt at and offended at pretty much anything, they actually hate america and never stop talking about how bad it is and how other countries are doing it right and say being an american is shameful,

3) the American: these are the middle ground people. People who actually realize that while we are American we are also more: we realize that at the end of the day we are all just 'people'. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, hispanic, gay, straight, islamic, athiest - we are all people and should be treated with respect and the only time we speak out against someone is if they are hurting others or disrespecting others. also, progression whether it be social, political, scientific, should not be hindered by religion or non religious beliefs. if we can help and love each other, then all the more better.

America is a great country, but it's plagued by the top two categories and niether side realizes that they are in the wrong in certain areas.

American woman are very Opinionated, some are very independent and down right hate men who think they need them bla bla bla... to other cultures coming into the United States and you want to date an American woman... I would say don't if you come from a culture that women don't have many rights and/or they are supposed to be under the male and serve the man always.. that type of stuff is considered an old fashion girl and are a rare and dying type of woman in America who most likely wouldn't date anyone outside her own race.
The girls my age and the ones coming up now are different as well as the ones that are my parents age... Also depends on if your dating a girl from the South vs North... or the big city vs rural areas... these woman are different... major differences.
