I'm probably a radical. Even though I don't collect anime, mangas, or figurines you can definitely tell I'm very much into anime when you walk into my room because I've completely collaged my entire bedroom with fan art that I buy at the anime conventions I go to. To put it into prospective I have a whole corner of my room dedicated to attack on titan.

I'm an average anime fan, and I'm glad for that. I was scared I would be categorized as an otaku or some shit.

The average silent critic I guess. I am not going to go out of my way to pick out details about a show or give some kind of review of hate towards something. I try my best to keep it to myself.

Somewhere around superfan, at most I'm somewhere between that and radical.

I consider myself well informed about seasonal anime, own at least 100 mangas. I have a lot of posters/fanarts from cons and buy the DVD/Blu-ray if it's a series I really love and it's too expensive. However, I have too much respect for myself to buy a dakimakura and only have a few figures (one of them I only have because it was includeded with a limited edition of a game, the other two are from a friend who got them for cheap while he was in Japan)

Do mainstreamers even exist at this point? I don't think I've ever seen anyone who claims to like anime but only watches Naruto. Not since I graduated from high school at least.

The critic

I have seen so many shows that I drop new ones almost immediately, if they are no high-quality material. Only a few or no tropes at all, interesting story, detailed animation, enchanting soundtrack, and most importantly: realistic characters that I can relate to.

Aside from fap-material, I really have a hard time finding good shows.

By your scale I'm a Superfan with Radical tendencies. If I wasn't such a practical, disciplined person I would be broke all the time buying manga, CDs, and DVDs and flying to every con' out there.

Casual. I'm not AS into it as I used to be and you won't see a single Japanese related thing in my room or find me at conventions or anything really. I'll watch a few when I'm bored or sick, most recently Darker Than Black series 1 and 2, loved it. Not a mainstream either, I prefer anime series that have an end and don't go on for thousands of episodes of fillers.

I sometimes get more into anime for a period of time, and then the interest wanes and I don't watch much of it. This has gone back and forth like this for years now.

So sometimes I'm an average anime fan and sometimes I'm a casual anime fan, and lately I've been a casual anime fan.

I'm a mix of every one of them. So basically the average 25 year old human who's broken his limits and can be all at once. I critique everything I watch. I love a lot of shit. I hate a lot of shit. I watch what anyone else might watch. But I don't hold special preference based on things like gender of the characters, like some weebs might, or care about the genre. It just better be worth wasting 24 minutes of my time. Time that could spent going to Krogers and buying cheap knock off sushi.
