We have a similar problem in Oregon where people get hit by the light rail system because they're too stupid to pay attention to what they're doing.

I have less sympathy for the dumb people. That track is literally the only area the train can travel. Trains are loud and conspicuous. If one catches you by surprise, you sort of deserve to get hit. It enrages me when I see people goofing off near the tracks with headphones on.

At least the suicidal person is easy to pity and feel sorry for.

It becomes very difficult to feel sympathy after the first dozen times. It backs the subway up by an hour or more every time someone jumps in front of a train.

Wow! Glad you were okay and nothing else happen. What line did the stabbing occurred? I was in D.C. on detail in 2010, when they arrested an individual who they thought was planning to sabotage the metro. He had detailed plans.

Be careful when the Pope visits. Hopefully, you will be allowed to work at home.

Red line, Noma Station. One stop before Union Station.

We have the option to take leave for the Pope, but I need to clear my backlog.

True. I've caught myself feeling more annoyed than sorry. Then, I feel guilty. And then I'm irritated because I'm three hours late.

Lmao @ the guy with the camera missing the train by a foot or 2.

Yeah even with headphones and not paying attention to my surroundings most of the time while on my phone I can still make sure theres no trains or cars coming most of the time. People are just plain stupid lol.

Middle of the afternoon on a Friday, and on 9/11... it must have been total chaos.

I'm not sure what the weather is like in your neck of the woods, but in San Francisco, it's been very hot for the last few days. I've noticed that when people don't sleep well because it's been hot, they're cranky, make poor choices and can be incredibly brash. I've had two people run almost run me off the road in a merge from an on ramp situation in the past few days.

I'm sorry about having to deal with the shooting, though.

Although it's never happened to me, I feel sorry for the drivers/operators of these vehicles. I was watching a show about trying out different jobs and one was being an operator in the TTC (Toronto subway). They said that whenever people commit suicide by jumping in front of the trains that really hurts their employees' mental health.

Yes and think of all the hours you will be spending inside a crowed space and a dark room only trying to see the light...

Asda microwave macaroni cheese - when I peeled the top off it smelled like a chemical spill. It tasted slightly better. Just.
