I used to be but then I got such a bad toothache that I thought a little scratch from a needle is better than not being able to sleep from toothache! It was fine and I didn't feel a thing, since then I shook my fear of the dentist. Good job I did because this is what I've had done since:

- 3 root canals in front teeth because eating lemons caused my teeth in the front to die
- Later..the 6 top front and bottom teeth removed and replaced with pearly white dental implants screwed into my jaw
- ALL wisdom teeth taken out as they were growing down into the teeth infront, and 2 of the teeth infront were also taken out so the surgeon could get in there and grab the wisdom teeth on bottom jaw.

All that in the space of 6 years.

If you only need a filling and are really scared of the dentist, don't be, fillings are nothing compared to what you could go through if you don't get it sorted quickly. It's painless and the mouth rinse they give you is delicious.

The worst thing is when they put an grenade into your mouth and then knocks out all your teeth..

All 4 of my wisdom teeth take out, one was too flat to be removed normally, and had to be cut and splintered to be removed, which took a specialist to do, and the process itself took little more then a hour, but imagine listening to someone cutting GLASS the wrong way the entire time, as your jaw vibrates from the circular saw cutting into your tooth.. not fun.

Also had 3 teeth fixed, and might have a root canal filling soon if thing's don't look good on my next exam.

I fucking hate dentists, I hate needles.. and I hate the amino acids lower the PH value and cause the enamel to demineralize.

But i fucking LOVE pepsi.. its like black gold.. liquid gold.. teeth be damned.. I wish we could get some kind of super prosthetic teeth that don't get broken down.

I used to be afraid of the dentist when I was a child. Now I'm just annoyed by it.

Let's see, I've had four regular teeth extracted because of overcrowding, I've had my wisdom teeth removed (all four at once, they broke my jaw to get to one of them, and the anesthesia wore off halfway through the procedure) , several fillings, braces, a permanent retainer that has since been removed.

they broke my jaw to get to one of them,

THEY FUCKIN' WHOT?! I sincerely hope you mean DISLOCATED. Because breaking the jaw means they commuted a crime, they are not allowed to take such radical steps for a simple TOOTH removal.

My worst experience was with a dentist that either gave me not enough painkillers or the painkiller was too weak. I could feel every rotation of that drill against the nerve in my tooth. I was 8, I think, so it was a pretty bad experience.

My current dentist is the greatest. He gives me so much time to pay if I don't bring enough money and he's very friendly. His work lasts forever and his fillings never fall out or hurt when the weather is cold. I've built up a little bit of pain tolerance over the years and I never get anesthetic now, even if he needs to drill out a cavity. I'm really glad I don't need those nasty-looking silver fillings anymore. The current dentist uses a tooth-colored substance that seems to be much more durable and comfortable.

I have three impacted wisdom teeth. I hear that many dentists will recommend removal but he just tells me not to worry about it as long as they aren't crowding out my other teeth and they don't develop other problems of their own.

I've never minded the dentist, in fact I think my dentist is a pretty cool guy.

I was plenty surprised to actually see him make a video

As for dental work, I've only had a couple cavities and my wisdom teeth removed.

The only big problem I had with my teeth is when I chipped my tooth playing tag when I was a little kid. I had to get a root canal and a new tooth. It wasn't fun.

I have never had a problem going to the dentist. It always feels good to me after they get done working on my teeth and give me that brrrrrrreeezzy breath feel. Going to the orthodontist is not something I like to think about on the other hand. There is so much struggling with teeth that can ensue with a visit to them.

I'm more afraid of the eye doctor than the dentist.
