Lots of gundam games - DW Gundam 3 & Reborn, Crossfire (never play it, bad game), Unicorn, Extreme VS, Battle Assault 1 & 2, Breaker 1 & 2 a couple PS2 games. Most are pretty simple games. Unicorn, Extreme VS, DW Gundam Reborn and the Breaker games are my most recced titles. All but DWGR are import-only titles but they're pretty simple to understand. Unicorn especially if you've seen the first three episodes. Extreme VS is a cool 2v2 fighting game (the splitscreen is bad), and Battle Assault is a simple sprite 1v1 fighter. Breaker is a gunpla building simulator where you do Dynasty Warriors style battles to grind for new parts.

Non-gundam games I've played are Armored Core 4, AC For Answer, AC Verdict Day, Another Century's Episode R, a couple Steam indie titles and a Vita title named Damascus Gear. the Armored Core games are all super complex build-yer-own-mecha games. ACER is a crossover game using Gundam, Full Metal Panic!, Code Geass, and a few other franchises. Essentially the Gundam Unicorn game but with more stuff. Damascus Gear is a neat fusion of AC and Diablo, would recommend if you have enough cash to blow on a digital Vita game.

Lookin' forward to Gundam Extreme VS Maxi Boost to inevitably end up on PS4 (and hopefully in NA -- if Jojo can get a western release...) and that rumored Vanillaware strategy game that'll hopefully get announced at TGS.

I've only played a really difficult game for the Genesis called BattleTech. Fortunately I recently started playing Frontlines for the SNES, that one is really good.

The only one I play mostly right now is Hawken. I was going to start playing Mechwarrior Online but I forgot how complicated the controls are in that game. I needed something a bit more fast paced and arcadey.

Most recently, Armored Core VD.

I want From to hold off on the Souls games for a while and get to work on AC6.

Recently I picked up Armoured Core V: Verdict Day, not a bad game by any means but it also I felt it was a bit lacking in game play. I also played Mech Assault a few weeks ago and that was an absolute blast.

Now lemme' tell you bruvs how good this little thread is 'n all. Got nice mecha games here and there... BUT I don't see a single mention of Kojima's magnum opus of mechanical combat, Zone of the Enders. Metal Gear may be an incredible series for stealth and warfare combat, but ZOE got everyting MECHA so right. The first game is okay to say the least, but the second title really boosts the quality. So amazing, to be honest. Visuals still aren't old because it uses a model style similar to Megaman Legends with mid-poly models with cartoon-y textures but they use darker colors so it's an incredible balance between cartoon and realism.

I remember ZOE 1 and 2 and I thought the war in ZOE 2 was incredible.

Hawken, Mech warrior, Gundam, Dead Space, Deus ex, Metal Gear Rising, Warframe, Star Wars knights of the old republic, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1, Portal 2, Dawn of War 2, Dungeon of the endless , Robocraft

That's like most of the ones I can think from steam except mech warrior and Gundam, I consider the idea of mecha to be a combination of robots, androids and artificial intelligence so that's why a lot of games were included that you may not of thought of

Played Several - my favorite was MechWarrior on the old Amiga systems. It was a faithful reproduction of the Battletech Hex map game, with a comprehensive editor where you could build your mech from the ground up. You could play against another human controlled team, or it would generate a team of mechs to fight against.

I've played quite a few but my favorites would probably come down to Armored Core 4/For Answer, Hawken, Sunrider Mask of Arcadius (strongly recommend if you like strategy RPGs, much more challenging than most), SD Gundam G Generation Wars and SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online.

One game I've always wanted to try but sadly haven't had the chance to is Zone of the Enders 2, hopefully I get around to it some day.

Chromehounds - I absolutely loved that game! The Neroimus Wars was so much fun and something that I unfortunately haven't seen in console gaming since. Like, winning online matches actually meant something, which I found very refreshing. It created a neat sense of community too.

I remember aligning myself with the Kingdom of Sal Kar (middle east/desert nation). The first few wars/seasons were pretty rough for us. It got pretty old having to fight in the desert all the time since we were always on the defensive, but a few months into it we started having more people join us and before I knew it we started winning territory outside our kingdom. Next thing I know, my clan and I are fighting in the snow covered maps of the Republic of Morskoj (Russia/eastern European like) and a few weeks after that we won our first season! The achievement for winning a season was something that I honestly didn't think I'd ever get staying aligned with Sal Kar, but my friends and I decided to stick it out and it paid off in the end
