Okay, when you have more to add to your post, edit it and put in the additional comments, I guess this forum kinda doesn't like double posting.
Right , I wouldn't really say that MGS is like AC or Splinter Cell, or Tomb Raider. It's more of it's own game. It has similar features from those games but more than likely did it way before those games did. MGS has been around since before the 2000's , on things like a Playstation 1 and SNES and other things that most people probably don't remember.

A large part of the game is sneaking, because if the enemy sees you, it's time for an alert which means; fuck you , I'll send in so many people you will have to run away and hide, so you can learn from your mistakes and get better at the game.

MGS is renown for it's boss fights, no game in the series is an exception imo, the boss fights are always great , sometimes frustrating but very rewarding when you pull it off, such as defeating one with non-lethal so you can obtain certain bonus items.

Camo, Camouflage is back in MGSV, since MGS3 it was really a serious thing - no you can't just go running around thinking that if you run there before he turns around you will be unnoticed by military senpai, no he will fucking hear you and shoot you.

So what I'm saying is, if you aren't crouching and your camo isn't up to flash, you will be seen and shot at, then a couple of grenades thrown in for good measure.

man i wish they had a camo index like 3, sometimes its hard to judge what would be best to use in what situation...

I really miss Octocamo, tbh. I know that's like, way too far in the future for this game...... but damn, I miss that.

I know what you mean. XD My best ranked girl soldier sounds like a gorilla mating with a cactus when she sprints.....
The HoJ *wink* is pretty cool, but damned if it isn't pricey to sortie with! I'm looking at about 25k~GMP to move out with my best gear as it is..... I guess it's worth it to hear Kiefer Sutherland scream "Haideraaaa" every time though XD

Yeah, I hear the HoJ gets insanely pricey as its upgraded. Like final upgrade requires 25 precious metal per deployment. Which is crazy - I've only gotten 1k of that stuff through like 40+ hours of play.

Wasn't big on the metal gear soild games, just watch the gameplay like usual. But one thing that i have to say is that the prologue is frigging epic. The fire scenes, everything. Best game prologue for me.

I still feel that MGS4 was more of a glorified movie rather than a game.

MGS3 was amazing & I have the demo on my 3DS XL it actually runs really well and I'm thinking of getting it, going back to the days of camo index, man MGSV really should of had a camo index like MGS3 or even 4....

I need to start putting time into this V, because I'm just stuffing around doing SIDE OPS, The first BOSS fight with the SKULL unit was great, I love the glowing eyes, in any game they look so badass, I actually defeated them using non-lethal, it took so goddamn long.

The thing about MGS4 is that it tried so hard to be a conclusion to the franchise that it used exposition, dialogue, and cutscenes to draw everything to a close as opposed to adding towards ambitious gameplay. MGS4 was, in almost every definition, a movie. MGSV does the exact opposite and puts as much into ambitious gameplay as possible as opposed to cutscene and dialogue, even though MGSV is supposed to be a conclusion.
