Manhattan is far too busy, California's gas and diesel are atrocious, language barrier and roommate are unfortunate in France, and I'm not all that fond of shacks. Henceforth, I choose the Mansion.

The flat. I hate the heat, so no Texas for me.

Since the most expensive of the 5 is probably the Manhattan flat (as long as it's at least 2 bedroom with a nice sized living room and kitchen), I'd go with the flat. I like NYC so I wouldn't mind living there.

Assuming job is not an issue: an old farmhouse is West Virginia or Maine.

If I had to choose from the provided list: I'll take the Manhattan flat and sell it, using the money to buy a house in the suburbs outside DC and an old farmhouse in Maine.

The shared apartment in France seems okay but not now, so yeah, give me Hawaii so I can at least learn how to surf and get rejected by pretty hula girls.

But if money wasn't an issue, I'd choose the whole "travel the world" option and just go to a different country every couple-a weeks.

Mansion. Seriously. Cheaper to live in Texas & I can do my job remotely, if I needed to. Plus, if we got sick of the area, we could sell and buy a new house somewhere else pretty easily...

Though, the Manhattan flat may be worth more money...hmm...

I had fun when I was in Paris, so I pick "Shared apartment in Paris-France". I could also visit other countries via the train system within hours.
