Hi Everyone thanks for reading :)

So I was always wondering about Korea and China if they made any siginifcant styles or shows similar to anime.

On that note Im a pretty casual comic reader so I was curious If there any comics or managa if not anime that other

cultures produce; the only media types I generally know of is manga and anime and comics. Can a wise gandalf or senpai

enlighten me ^^?

Korea and China do have (basically) manga-equivalent media: manhwa and manhua, respectively. While I haven't personally encountered any animation from those areas, I do know that the manhwa industry, at least, is pretty lively. I've read a couple titles, and they were pretty good.

I've moved this to our Advice, Info, Recommendations forum, since requests that are more for information than discussion go there.

There is also very recently revived discussion thread that might interest you in the Anime forum. See /forumtopic-839511/american-korean-and-chinese-anime

Top Korean manhwa on MAL: http://myanimelist.net/topmanga.php?type=manhwa
Top Chinese manhua on MAL: http://myanimelist.net/topmanga.php?type=manhua

The only Korean manhwa I remember reading to the end is Safe Again Today, a short slice of life comedy. I've also read some of Dear My Girls, loosely based on Little Women. But updates are extremely slow and I eventually lost track of the story and gave up.
As for Chinese manhua, I read some wuxia and 1 romance manhua a decade ago but I don't remember the names.
