Let me know if there is a thread like this one that exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

Explain your opinion in great detail.

So, I want to know if there is anybody here that enjoys writing stories. I find writing more fun than reading mainly because I can't visualize when I read. So, writing is something that I enjoy doing. I'm working on some stories now. Tell me, do you write stories and enjoy it?

I once wrote a story. My teacher called me in and just stared at me... then she told me she had nothing to say and so dismissed me. A few days later, I got moved down a set and the vice principle had to teach me.

I enjoy writing stories but I am not very good at longer writing. I agree it is fun and creative.Shaping ideas and characters is fun just because you actually are inventing new people and worlds and placing it on paper.

Absolutely. I used to write very short stories back in 3rd grade, got my whole class to start doing them. They were so fun to write. Whenever my English teacher assigns a freewrite essay now, I go all out. I remember in 8th grade my whole class absolutely loved my story and wanted me to write an actual book for it. Never did, but was a considerable option.

I've tried and getting it started is well worth the time spent, but its hard for me to keep on writting to the very end. admittedly I am horrible at telling stories in real life, like I ruin stories, it's bad. So I try and write so I can get better at it I suppose. Its also a creative outlet that I don't have to force myself to do.

I enjoy writing stories but I don't think I'm good at it. I lack the focus necessary for story writing. I fare much better when doing poetry. I have done poetry editing and grading and will soon have a spot with a magazine editor friend who wants me to edit poetry. I would not dare to try the same thing with stories.

Well, I do have stories I'm proud of, but they are few when I compare the number of stories written and poems written.

I use to write poetry but I get annoyed and write a story instead.

I like planning stories. I'll put hours and hours of effort into charting out how a plot will go, how the characters are interrelated, how the setting works, etc. But I hardly ever actually write anything. I lose interest after the planning stage; once I know how the story is going to go, there's little appeal in putting in the work to turn into something I can share. I generally drop my projects after the planning stage in favor of something new to plan. It's a really bad habit.

I've tried. I'm not much of a writer. I get to a few pages long and everything blows up. Then I quit.

I love to write stories; when I'm on my break, I sit there and plot out stories in my head and write them down on my phone's note section.

Haha haha there are gonna be a lot of plot holes in my part.

I'm just amazed how they made Bakuman. It's a manga where a pair wanting to make a manga. It's a manga within a manga.

Yep. And I used to, quite frequently, but lately I've been even more unproductive than I usually am. I've got a project currently going on that's probably far too ambitious for my currently, extremely low productivity levels.
