4K content is very limited due to many reasons (I'll spare the details); however, 4K Blu Ray is coming out the end of this year. 4K animes may exist, but it will be several years later for sure or until 4K "native" gaming becomes reality.

rather than time, there needs to be major changes in the industry in order for 4K to be viable.
remember that it's the artists that draw the frames, and they are paid in basically pennies and live on ramen (and probably living in a capsule hotel or something). making an anime in 4K means 4 times the work of a 1080p series. let's not forget that many frames require to
be redrawn many times over. understandably, there's very little motivation for them to do 4 times the work considering what they earn, and i highly doubt animation companies are eager to pay them significantly more to do 4K.

considering the cost of producing an anime in 4K, i have my doubts that they'd let such series (if they even exist) be freely available in CR
and in 4K no less. in the event that i'm wrong, someone please give a list of shows that were done in native 4K and that's available in CR.

Not only what namealreadytaken has said, but 4k streaming takes up around 7 gigs an hour and you will blow through your data cap in no time at all.

There's no 4K animation on the market... So there's no way CR could have 4K content since their contractors doesn't produce 4K content. To be honest there's not much 4k content on the market outside a few few movies and series

That's uncompressed 4K, if you have conpressed 4K then it won't take that much. Look at Netflix they have 4K and you don't need a insainly fast connection to stream over there

i was joking about 4k content though 4k is incoded with either h.264 or better which is much better then mp4 and the other
codecs used for 1080p. 1080p encoded the same way takes less bandwith 4k compares faverably with current 1080p
i am currently using a seiki 4k tv bought from newegg for 326 free shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA8RW38E5771
the price has gone up just a little but is still pretty good.
now to get 4k to work I had to patch the catalyst drive and modify the monitor modes in the registry .
so for under 340 dollars I have a working 4k monitor likely a lot more people will be getting 4k as the price
continues to come down.
so when I wonder will we see more content? as to the cap I pay 70 dollars a month for 100mps no cap.
and google is planning to offer 17gps done for about 40 dollars a month or less hope it comes here sone.
