So this has been happening forever but I'm finally tired of it. I'm hoping others experience this or can offer as olution.

Whenever I watch an anime episode, the show tends to cut off the last minute to 30 seconds of the show and move right on to the next episode. This would be great if the last few seconds were credits, but a great many anime shows have extra tidbits after the credits, followed by previews, which I want to watch.

The PS3 and PS4 do this regularly. I've haven't tried watching on a browser or iPad in awhile to see if they also do this.

I've looked through both the website and the PS4 app for a possible option to turn this off.

It appears to be series agnostic.

My current workaround is either to let it happen and reload the episode, and fast forward to where it cutoff, or alternatively when a credit sequence is happening, I pause the stream, then rewind it a little, or fast forward it, and sometimes that keeps the app from stopping and moving on to the next episode.

Any ideas? Is this a feature gone wrong? Or my account is bugged? Does this happen to other people? Like I said this has been happening to me for years now.

Happens to me occasionally. I just exit the video and reload.

Sadly for me this is not an occasional thing. This happens on nearly every single episode that I watch. I've wondered in this was some sort of feature intended to help people skip credits, or to limit viewing time, or something similar.

Hmm. So this isn't a universal thing? Other people aren't experiencing this regularly?

I frequently get this on my PS3, and sometimes on PC. Heck, I've had it skip half the episode a number of times!

Just wanted to say this is an issue I've been having and it really should be fixed. I never had it happen until it randomly started a few months ago and ever since it's happened nearly every episode. I've tried everything I could think of (including reinstalling the app) but nothing helps.

I have the same issue also. I really wish Crunchyroll tech support would look at this.

Yeah the same has been happening to me as well. Seems to be random too, since I've had times where it doesn't skip the last minute

I've had this same problem also. An episode plays fine then cuts off the last several seconds. It's been happening to me for a while; I really wish it would stop.

This drives me nuts to no end! A number of anime have extra scenes at the end that get cut out. This is especially troublesome on short form anime that have credits during the show. I would love a setting option to play the full episode without cutting credits.

So, is crunchy going to do something about this? Can crunchy respond? How would we get crunchy to respond anyway?

It happens to me everytime with every single Anime episode I watch in The App on The PS4. And it's annoying beyond recognition. They should implementan option to leave The damn episode to play from beginning to end. Even if The anime doesn't have tidbits I would like to damn watch The ending, because I like them! For real it gets to a Point when I'm just done reloading and fast forwarding The episode and close The App because I no longer feel in The mood to keep enjoying my beloved Anime.

I think I've figured out what triggers this after watching a lot of episodes, testing out different things. It happens whenever you rewind at any point during the episode, or if you leave it paused for a really long time. That means that if a subtitle goes by too fast and you have to rewind to read it, or if you go grocery shopping or something and leave it paused, the episode will skip to the next one prematurely. I managed to watch a lot of episodes flawlessly as long as I didn't rewind and paused very little. This obviously means that this is a bug, not a feature like Netflix where there's an option to skip the credits, not to mention that it's weird in the first place that it happens in the middle of the ending and not before.

This only happens if you watch an episode all the way from the beginning to the end. If you quit in the middle of an episode (AKA press the circle button), and then resume where you left off it won't skip even if you rewinded. So that's a quick workaround if you happened to rewind or paused for a long time during the episode (just be careful not to do it too late during the episode because then it counts as if you watched the whole thing). I managed to watch episodes all the way through with no problems 100% of the time doing this.

This is still very annoying, but I hope I helped some of you guys using the PS4 app while this is (hopefully) getting fixed. Keep in mind that this is based off of my own experience, but bugs like these are pretty unpredictable and it might be different for you. I'm pretty confident though because I've been able to use the app with no problems doing this. Remember, this seems to trigger whenever you rewind AT ALL, while I was able to get away with pausing a little every now and then.

TL;DR: Don't rewind or pause for a long time at any point during the episode. If you must, then quit the episode in the middle and reload where you left off.
