Post Reply Episode cutting off the last minute or two

Would be nice if a member of the CR staff could acknowledge this. It's not deal breaking, but I am getting sick of it.

Been waiting forever for a fix to this and yet nothing... it's a really disappointing blemish on an otherwise great service. If I need to rewind an episode at all I always have to "rewind -> leave episode -> resume from the point I rewinded to" or else the ending gets cut off. This bug can be replicated. There's no reason why it shouldn't have been fixed by now. But it feels like Crunchyroll's app developers just completely ignore these forums so I guess this'll never get fixed. I don't know what to do or who to forward a complaint to. It's been like this for a year! Really frustrating. It would be wonderful just to have this acknowledged.

Seriously, my last post in this thread was November of last year and it was happening well before that too. It's time for this to be addressed, Crunchyroll. At least acknowledge this problem with your app... it's not a small bug.

Another thing, if you pause and resume multiple times during the last minute or so of the anime then it won't skip.

It seems more like an auto-play feature jumping to the next episode during the last 30-40 seconds.

It's sad to see it's been almost a year now and no changes. I've especially noticed it with Re: Zero, where most episodes extend through the credits. I'm going to put in a complaint email to refresh their memories about the issue.

It really is, but for now I'm going to have to use the methods mentioned here, seems to be working for me, despite how slightly annoying it is.

I emailed Crunchy support eight days ago about this issue. At the time I didn't realize it was a bug, I thought it was a feature like what Netflix does. They said they'd pass along my message to the product development team.

Does anyone from the support staff visit the Help forums? I'm genuinely curious. I've read through topics in the Roku forum in regards to the app not working on Roku 1 devices, with no response from staff. And I've read through this thread, which is over a year old, without any response from staff.

I'm still very new to Crunchyroll, and it's not like I'm mad or anything. It's just a little disappointing that I'm not seeing a large staff presence in the support forums. At least that's my first impressions. I hope I'm wrong.

Wow, this is nuts Crunchyroll still hasn't acknowledged this issue yet. I've been dealing with it for months and after watching the latest Prisma Illya episode I had enough of it ending before I can see the credits and after credits scene. Come on Crunchyroll, get your shit together >:/

I doubt they have any form of devs at all, the software was probably outsourced and now they are too greedy to put down money to get someone to fix this shit excuse of an software.

Really shocked this hasn't been acknowledged and fixed at this point. It seems multiple of us (myself included) have sent emails to customer support on the matter too. It's been nearly a year since my first post in this thread... I love CR but this is the type of thing is unacceptable.

Rewinding is a simple feature of video platforms. It shouldn't break the thing. This is basic functionality and that it exists at all, let alone hasn't been fixed yet, brings the competency of their app development team into question.

Fix this CR. or at least acknowledge it. This is not acceptable of a paid service.

I went ahead and submitted another customer support ticket, this time including a link to this thread in hopes that someone will see it.

Yes, actually! Got this in response: "I am escalating this ticket, so we can look into this further. You should hear back from us shortly."

Still waiting to hear back but I figure it might take a few days.

I'm so glad to hear this. I emailed them about this issue a while ago and they kept placing the blame on my end and then closed the ticket saying that they'll improve the browser flash app. It's unacceptable that we have to be THIS vocal to get an obvious issue like this acknowledged by the staff. I love Crunchy because they have great shows but the quality of the service has to match the quality of the content. I hate to be that guy but most people in this thread are paying premium members.

At least I'm glad to see the workaround is working for you guys. I was afraid it was only working for me and was completely wrong about rewinding being the issue. But still, I've never had an issue this big with other video apps on PS4 like Netflix, Funimation, Youtube and Amazon Video. Guess all I can do now is wait for Crunchyroll to get back to us.

Bumping this thread because this continues to happen to me as well. Cuts off the last 15-20 seconds, and then I have to restart the episode and fast-forward to the end. It's been going on for a very long time. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's still kind of annoying. I wish it was fixed.
