I love taking photos, I have a DSLR camera that I use way too little. It's kind of sporadic, but sometimes I go on photographing sprees. Other times I just get really inspired by something I see.

Here's a few samples of what I've taken:

Well, well, well. I'm glad to see you took that picture of Kumamon near the Shiyakusho (City Hall) in Kumamoto. *Wiggly eyebrows*

Haha! Hello! It was on my way back to hotel from Kumamoto-Jyo(Kumamoto Castle). I thought it was very interesting and people in the bus were also taking pictures of Kumamon so why not. Unfortunately, the day I was in Kumamoto, it was raining quite hard so I didn't have many opportunities to pull camera/phone out of my shoulder bag. My hands were occupied with umbrella and souvenirs lmao.

I'll share couple more pictures.

Its nice to see that people enjoy taking photographs of scenery. I suppose the reason that i don't do it as much is because when i do actually get my camera out to snap a picture, it just never captures what i'm seeing if that makes any sense. There's just something about the expanse of nature or architecture, the parts that only ever make it to the corners of your vision that impresses me. With a standard photograph you can just never do what your eyes are seeing justice.

I feel like if i can't truly capture all of what i'm feeling in a particular moment with the photograph that i've taken, then its not a photograph worth keeping

Cat pictures... I got a new phone with a better camera just to take better pictures of my cats.

Don't care for pictures... taking them... looking at them... I just pass it up. I also rarely think videos or pictures people share on FB are all that cute or funny.

Nice. Got a few good pictures of the "green road". I miss Kumamoto City a lot. I'm glad I spent four years living there and I often daydream about being back there. Hopefully you got out to Mt. Aso (though it's hard to get to if you can't drive... there are busses, but they kinda suck. There's a train, but... I've never taken it).

I'm glad to see you got out to Hiroshima-ken. I went to Hiroshima City, but I never went out to the island. If you went from around June-July, it's 梅雨 (tsuyu), the rainy season, so it pretty much pours and pours and pours and pours...

Hopefully you stopped at Suizenji Koen and checked out that area while you were in Kumamoto. There are a few places in Kumamoto I love and recommend to people when they visit (off the beaten path). Like over by Kumamoto Station, if you go out the Shinkansen side, you can walk up Mt. Hanaoka (Hanaokayama) and if you take the tram to Karashimacho you can switch to the blue "B" tram (if you aren't on it already) and take it toward Honmyou-ji. If you walk up the 300 steps you'll come to the temple, and if you walk around it YOu can go up more steps that takes you to Kato Kiyomasa's statue. If you keep going up the mountain you'll be at the top of Kinpozan (Mt. Kinpo) which, at night, has an awesome view. But you have to be careful because wildboar are everywhere around there haha.

Also Miyamoto Musashi (guy who wrote The Book of Five Rings) lived in Japan and you can take a bus to Reigando cave where he spent the final stretch of his life writing out that manifesto. Gosh, and I could go on.

I like taking pictures, but not of people when they ask me to. I love just getting the aesthetic of life on film, though.

Dude. That landscape looks way familiar. Is it from the southwest by any chance?

And awesome pictures by the way. Love the angles.

I used to have my own darkroom and I absolutely loved working with film. I wish I could get back into it. My camera is collecting dust on my dresser :/ And I have a mystery roll of film that I didn't get the chance to develop. I think it was from me trying to experiment and take action shots in the dark. Maybe I'll take it in to do it cheaply just to find out.

I can tell how asymmetrical my face is, so I hate taking them myself but I don't mind being in pictures so long as I don't really see them.
