The Republicans just spent three hours (figuratively) jerking it over his corpse (is he dead? I'm just going to assume that he is dead).

That's because Reagan made shit right. The booming nineties that Bill Clinton got credit for was a direct result of his policies.

BUT... what do I know?

...I didn't say anything bad about Reagan. I think Reagan was a pretty cool guy. I just think the whole "look at me, I'm so much like Reagan!" "No, I'm more like Reagan!" "No me! I'm basically Reagan's lovechild" bit is a tad grating. It just feels like they are using him as a buzzword instead of really getting into policies like how his policy on Immigration was surprisingly open and how he actually did a lot of raising taxes when necessary.

I think that there has been too much polarization in politics.

People think I'm strange when I say I'm FOR health care reform, and then say that Obamacare is sh*t.

Called thinking for myself, that's all.

It's all because the inflammatory statements he always makes. With the way the press focuses on news that has a shock factor, he's like the perfect thing for them. More press coverage means his messages are spread much more frequently. In addition all the public denouncing also feeds the fire, helping to spread Trump's tasteless words. The more it spreads the more and more people he finds that support him.

Tis a vicious cycle. People call him out over and over saying he's trash and trying to oust him, all the while they're most likely just helping him along. Which just leads him to say more stupid stuff and the cycle begins anew.

People who vote by party instead of voting for a candidate.

This is assuming that he is able to make something out of his current lead.

They talk about Ronald Reagan this and that but if he saw the way Republicans act he would be absolutely disgusted, appalled and embarrassed to call himself that they claim him but he wouldn't claim them.

He's only smoke and mirrors, man. He is being used, likely voluntarily, to amp up support in the ignorant sectors, while the real candidate gains the more rational support. Plus he supplies ample viewers who just want to see his nonsense. In the end, he'll just pass his supporters over to the real candidate (said that last part earlier).

The only good thing that can possibly come out of a Trump presidency is that everybody in Congress, republicans and democrats alike, would finally be united on something: making sure Trump doesn't pass anything.

ANNNNNDDDDdddd..... you should be embarrassed that you only see the parties in politics.... but, I won't go there, anymore than I have.

You are kind of right, though. Politicians SUCK these days. Too much polarization of insignificant issues.
