"I see." Looks like he'd be fighting. 'I really better get some rest....' Aoi thought. If he didn't regain his energy, he'd die in an instant in this world. "If I'm hearing you correctly, people will also form groups so they can help each other? Kinda like the safety in numbers thing?"

Aoi didn't ask about what Squall was thinking about. "So, what types of creatures are there here?" He'd been to so many dimensions, he'd seen things from cats to dragons. He needed to know what type of wildlife he'd be encountering, and even fighting, here.

"Everything from ants to dragons" squall has flashes of the bandit raid that killed most of his group and scattered the rest.

"I see." So the regular fantasy world. Aoi could work with that. Squall still seemed to be thinking about something... Aoi decided to stop questioning him, crawled into the back of the caravan, laid down, and quickly fell asleep. He needed to rest and recover his energy, and now that he had an idea of where he was and knew he could probably trust this guy he could do so.

Francis was absentminded when he accepted Squall's payment. The numerous possibilities that they may encounter at Redwood Town plagued his mind. He growled in annoyance after thinking of so many worse situations involving his contacts and the ruling monarchy.

He sighed before tying the reins. "Nala, Rex, keep us steady. Aela, Laius, behave." Howls greeted him in response. He climbed on top of the carriage and acrobatically flipped inside said carriage where Squall and this strange person engaged in a conversation. He just sat there, watching them before looking outside. He softly sighed and closed his eyes, "I hope those two wouldn't screw me over...especially this strange masked boy." He said softly. He needed to rest his eyes and mentally review his Essence Menagerie.

Aoi opened one eye when he heard another voice that wasn't that of Squall's. "Oh? And who might you be?" 'So much for sleeping... But I gotta know this guy won't try anything funny, either.' he thought. He'd heard the man's comment about screwing him over, so Aoi knew he should probably introduce himself at the least. He didn't want the guy thinking that he was one of those ones that the man seemed so wary of.

"I own this caravan kid. I don't know who you are but Squall, the young man over there, must have paid your travel fee..." Francis said as he opened his eyes and brought out a chunk of ruby from his pocket. He returned the ruby to his pocket before he slowly sat and inspected the lad in front of him. "So, before I introduce myself, I want to know the name of the young lad before me; and I make it my business to know who rides in my caravan." He said softly as he leaned forward. His eyes were twinkling under the light of the numerous lanterns inside the carriage. If this boy made a move then he'll have to add another one to his collection. But if not, he'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

'So this one isn't so friendly either... In a dying world, I guess no one is....' Aoi thought with a little sigh. He seemed to be the owner and drives of the caravan, so if he was going to be here for the next half a day, he better just do what he asks. "Name's Aoi Ayumu." He really was just tired, and it showed in his voice. He'd already wasted his little remaining energy asking questions that he know thought could probably just have been asked after he'd slept, and now he had to waste even more of it answering questions to yet another person who seemed wary of anyone and everyone. He could kind of understand why he was, though. He'd just have to answer his questions. The man would be answering some questions of his own soon, too, probably. He had also heard what this man had said about the travel fee; Aoi had just gotten here so he obviously didn't have any money, but once he did, he'd have to pay Squall back. 'I'm already in debt to someone and I've only spent twenty minutes here....' he thought, sighing. "Well, now that you know my name, would you be so kind as to tell me yours?"

Francis nodded after hearing the boy's name. He also took note of the weariness of his voice as well. The lad must have been through a lot before coming here, it seems. He'll cut the boy some slack for now. "Name's Francis Blackthorn, merchant extraordinaire. My caravan lives by the motto, 'If you want something, I probably have it!'" He finished with a friendly smile.

He slowly stood up and walked towards a hammock before he laid down. "I suggest you take one of the hammocks if you need to rest. If you want anything to eat, just ask me; it's free of charge anyway. To be out here in the wastes without a bit of food or rest would get you killed quicker; discounting the beasts, abominations, and bandits roaming around the area. So, make yourself at home." He said as he closed his eyes and sighed softly. The lad sure needs his rest and he wasn't that cruel to not provide comfort for those who need it.

"Thank you, sir." Aoi said. Francis seemed friendly enough. 'Finally, rest... Well, time to move again....' he thought. He pulled himself up onto one of the hammocks and laid down. He closed his eyes, and in a mere minute he was asleep.

Francis grunted in response as he slowly drifted to sleep. It was a tiring day; meeting new and interesting people, getting a couple of sales, and maybe even causing a few chaos along the way, could really take a lot of energy from any man. Maybe the next day would bring as much excitement as this day. He'll just have to wait and see.

When Aoi woke up, he saw a small town not too far off. "So I really slept for around the half a day's time to get to the town...." he said to himself. He felt a lot better now, though. He sat up and watched the town nearing them as they came closer and closer.

Taki sets foot into the waste lands again to make it to central city. Maybe he'll find some new people again or maybe not. As for the other people that just left this dimension, Taki believes he'll be seeing them again

Fear walked through the wasteland. "This place is a drag." He opened a pack of gum, and started chewing.
