I would like to remind people of Berserk. It is not a VN, and the new movies have the most hilariously good sex scenes in all movies.

Heartily seconded. If ever a guy deserved a lay after all the horrible stuff he's been through ....

For the love of GOD, PLEASE KEEP THE SEX SCENES.

To be honest, it's really not even about the sex part, it's really just telling a story. I've often wondered what women think during stuff like this, and it gives me more insight. My personal 2 cents I guess.

well there is something a little unsettling about playing Kanon's adult version for the first time and having it almost ruin some of my favorite characters as a result. Fruit of Grisaia was not so bad for me because I expected it, but yeah its a bit unexpected that adult visual novels at least back in the late 90s and early 2000s had better storylines then most of the galga that have no nudity. Now a days there is a genera of games that is specifically made for the story and even the ones that are still adult have all ages versions. Typically if you see a novel that says adult with all ages, you get the all ages version because the adult scenes so rarely add to the story. only in a few cases were the sex scenes important for the plot line and in even fewer are they tastefully done.

Well, since most anime is aired during the daytime, and most VN adaptions are more innocent sans the sexy scenes (most of the time, or at least some of the ones I've seen, mainly KEY, definitely KEY), they're going to likely omit them, especially if they don't exactly contribute majorly to the plot. Most dating sim adaptions aren't going to contain explicit romance and at most will have implicit romance, or like in Clannad romance with really only one girl / guy. And so on. Anime is not exactly like the original vn, it is structured differently, therefore vn anime adaptions do not have the same structure as their original game.
