Problems with membership

I've recently run into a spot of trouble. I subscribed awhile back last month in order to watch a few japanese dramas of choice, however, I had forgotten I had payment for only one time, so I figured after I pay up, I'd cancel the subscription. Thing is I forgot the correct amount my card held, and my card was overdrawn. I was content being non-premium but everytime I try and cancel the payment or change to a free membership, I see no change, I get an inbox confirmation that I was reduced to free but my profile still says premium, my payments, if I try to cancel them, I'm told I "Cannot cancel at this time".

My worry is my profile is stuck in some sort of loop, and it'll continue to draw from my overdrawn credit card, even when I try to change to another card to pay (It was a gift card), I get an error message saying it can't be changed or that the new card isn't apart of the payment plan, despite the fact it has the money. I even tried using the "Contact us" option and all I got was two automated emails saying the same thing.

My guess is my account is "awaiting" payment or it's stuck due to having been drawing from an overdrawn card.

If anyone knows what this error or problem is specifically, please tell me how I can fix it, I don't want my premium membership and I don't want any problems to arise from this scenario.

When you cancel a premium account though your account will stay premium until the next billing date at which time it will revert to free. So maybe you just have time left on what you paid for?

Try going here: https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/membership/ and look to see what it says next to "Recurring:" and "Next Billing Date:"

Most likely you will have to contact support directly to make sure it all gets set up exactly as you need it to be.

Oh, well, mind as well wait then, see what happens. I'm abit of a worry wort, thank you justanother

Course if the errors with the payment and all that keeps happening even AFTERwords, I'mma have to look into it.

Yeah id say contact support. Had a similar problem with an mmo sub and had to contact support to get it fixed. They should be able to fix it and if you are lucky maybe refund a bit since you did try to cancel it.

As mentioned the Site Support forum, not General Discussion, is the right place to ask questions related to Crunchyroll site problems, however, questions about your account and billing need to be handled directly by customer support. Since you already contacted them and have received the auto-response you should wait a couple of days for a real-person response. They can get it sorted out for you.

Anyway, I'm closing the thread now since it doesn't belong in General Discussion.
