It usually takes me forever to finish a series unless I absolutely fall in love with it, and it works as serial fiction in the first place. For examples, I started Pet Girl of Sakurasou in February 2013, and I'm still on episode 13. I started Tamako Market around October 2013 and am still on episode 8 or 9. I tend to watch several episodes of a show in a row, then watch more a couple weeks later, sometimes months (though the last two are the extreme outliers). I didn't finish Kill La Kill or Hourou Musuko, two of my favorite shows, until several months after I started them.

The only show that I powered through that wasn't really good serial fiction (AKA, something that keeps me hooked and completely invested in the story/characters) was Yuru Yuri, and even for that, I watched the first two episodes in February 2013, then the next 22 in October 2013. So sometimes it just takes me a while to finish a show.

I'm watching From the New World right now, and hopefully I'm balancing it out by watching 3-5 episodes a week instead of a couple marathons months apart.

Sometimes when a series really slows down and I'm not sure about it, or I don't want it to end, I have this problem and it takes forever to finish.

My problem is the complete opposite, once i start an anime that i like i can't stop watching it, i think i ended up watching the whole of SOA in a single evening.

I'm not THAT bad any more but you get the idea

So I don't know if I'm the only crazy one but I have a weird habit to just stop watching an anime in the last few episodes. For example, I love the anime "the pet girl of sakuraso" but I still haven't finished it as I'm only on the last few episodes. Is this only me or does anyone else have this habit? Also post your own weird anime habit down below!

This happens to me a LOT too. I marathon 80-90% of the series then put it off for a long time. Sometimes months. I'm struggling through the last episodes of Spice and Wolf right now. I think it has something to do with I like the characters so much that I don't want to see the end of their story. :(((((

My only habits, I guess you can call them that, are that I like to snack while watching anime. And I always tend to become infatuated with some of the more oddball and over-the-top female characters in a series. Especially if they are tomboyish. Oh and I actually prefer to marathon a series as opposed to waiting each week for new episodes, but I am also too impatient to wait for a series to finish because I enjoy chatting online about episodes as they air. It's a catch-22 really. Oh well, I guess that's about it for now.

I do that not because I got bored with the anime but because I don't want it to end yet.

I guess one of my weird anime habits is that I don't drop shows. Even if the show is horrid, I want to see how it ends so I can judge it properly. In the rare instances I can't watch the rest of a show for some reason (e.g. Viewtiful Joe or Sailor Moon Crystal), I just put it on hold until I can. I don't count anime like Naruto or One Piece dropped, since I started them way before legal sites were a thing and I will watch them again if they become legally available for me.

Another one is that I've kept all the shows I've watched in my queue on CR, even though they are in the way there. I should probably remove them at some point.

It seems I do this a lot. I've stopped watching some series on the last episode and more than a few in the last 4.
I just lose interest in some shows and don't feel like watching till the end anymore. Sometimes it's a show I've mostly enjoyed but still lose interest for no apparent reason.

I think my weird habit is whenever I watch anime I MUST be drinking something. Don't ask me why, but whenever I sit down to watch anime I get awfully thristy for some reason. It's incredibly weird but it's nice to warm up with some cocoa and anime.

Also I sometimes get OPs habit. It took me around 8 months to finally finish Habani Renmei (I probably spelled that wrong). Not because it was bad, it was quite excellent actually, but because I kinda forgot about it. Had to watch the first half about three times because I kept forgetting what happened.

I've observed for some time now that Premium members don't seem to need those 500 points in order to start threads.

This is atrocious. The premium members MUST earn those 500 points to do something like the rest of CR.

It's rare that I don't finish an anime unless I decide it's not for me and give up on it entirely. Occasionally I'm just no longer in the mood to watch a particular genre/show and stop watching for awhile, but I'll get back to it eventually. The latest has been Aldnoah Zero. I've made it up to episode 18, I think, and keep meaning to get back to it, but just haven't.

I don't usually watch simulcast because I'm too impatient to wait to see what happens next. For shows with a lower number of episodes, I tend to marathon all the way to the end. But for shows with a higher number of episodes, I marathon up to about #40, then run out of steam and switch to something else. This always seems to happen, even with shows I really like.

I also tend to be a binge-watcher. For a month or two I'll watch anime practically nonstop, then won't watch at all for a month or two, then watch again…

I won't watch subbed without the sound turned up so I can hear the voices clearly, regardless of whether or not I can hear the music/other audio at a lower volume. I don't think it's weird, but some people must since I've been asked why, what difference does it make since I don't know the language and have to read the subtitles anyway. But to me it doesn't matter whether I can understand or not because so much of a character's personality/emotion is still conveyed through the voice. And some of them just have a great voice that I like to hear.

Very rarely when it comes to an anime I absolutely adore(love), I sometimes hold off the last 1-2 episodes for a couple weeks to prevent... Well the sadness of a favorite anime coming to an end. It only occurs with simulcasts. (Starting to occur with Overlord )
Most likely my second weird habit which occurs often, it rewatching it. I've done it with plenty of times, but it only occurs when its an anime I love or have trouble understanding the plot( it is usually for love of the anime.) Heck, I'm already rewatching Shin-Sekai-Yori for the fourth time since it is amazing, and well designed characters/plot. And just recently finished all the Monogatari's over the week xD.
